Another view to cool you. The memory of standing here sure refreshes me.
Looking north up Falls Creek as it flows in to Oregon's Sparks Lake. This was my 3rd time hoping to see Sparks Lake and drive the Cascade Lake Highway. Opened the day after I arrived in Bend this time. Snow canyons driving the highway, only saw a few other vehicles. Very quiet and peaceful. Highlight of the trip. However, Sparks Lake was completely covered with snow and ice. Perhaps late June next time.
I believe that's the SW side of Broken Top and Moon Mtn in the distance. So many peaks, buttes and cones around Bend. Love it.
Should be the last triple digit day here, hopefully for the rest of the year.
Welcome to August! May it be cooler than July.
Place: Rock Garden Road Bloomfield Tea Garden, Darjeeling,
The Rock Garden (also known as Barbotey Rock Garden) at Chunnu Summer Falls and Ganga Maya Park are recently added tourist attractions in the hilly town of Darjeeling in the state of West Bengal, India. It is a showpiece meant to lure people to Darjeeling after political agitations disrupted tourism in the 1980s..
Rock Garden
The garden is about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from Darjeeling. While proceeding from the town along Hill Cart Road, one has to turn right, well before reaching Ghum. The road descends rapidly into the valley. With sharp bends all the way, there are scenic views at many points. Tea gardens dot the hill slopes.
The best water in the house is found on the bathroom shelf. It is so refreshing with a slight taste of toothpaste. This glass was my master's, but now it's mine!
For Macro Mondays the theme is: EDC (Every Day Carry). I always have a little water bottle in my bag. This one is a favourite. Made of copper. Drinking water from it is supposed to have health benefits. It is very pretty too.
The petunias in my hanging basket needed a refreshing shower. So with one hand I was misting them, and with the other I clicked and captured this image.
Thanks everyone for your views, awards, comments, invites and faves.
