Todays challenge for the daily shoot was It's summer in the Northern Hemisphere. Make a photo of a cool, refreshing drink. Go for something creative.

As you can see I failed on the Creative aspect of this challenge, but this was nice to drink down after taking this shot very refreshing

Shot in the morning after some rain from the previous day. Appreciating the small things with macro.

in the opal creek area. Yes, the color of the water is greenish and crystal clear.

Taken for my Get pushed challenge for Round 21. This is a group where photographers get paired up, they challenge each other to take photos of things they wouldn't normally. I was paired with Basselal, he has a wonderful stream (you really should check out his stream) .After a few fmail exchanges we decided that we would challenge ourselves to the same thing......................a vintage ad!

Well I had a few ideas going around in my head, but saw these vintage style bottles in our supermarket (we do not see them that often anymore), so I thought why not...........I looked at some of the old slogans that Coca-Cola used and loved this one from the 1920's, I thought it went so well with my daughters glass :-)

Just wish I had not blown the lemon, but the rain started soon after I got this shot, so had to give up!

This was also taken for the T189 52 week project where the theme is "H is for Happiness", this was great fun to do and brought smiles to mine and my kids faces, so happiness all round.

Come check out my BLOG and let me know what you think, today I have posted about splash shots. I would would love to see you over there too.

Buffalo Syncerus caffer

The African buffalo or Cape buffalo is a large African bovine. The adult buffalo's horns are its characteristic feature; they have fused bases, forming a continuous bone shield referred to as a "boss". It is widely regarded as a very dangerous animal, as it gores and kills over 200 people every year.

The African buffalo is not an ancestor of domestic cattle, and is only distantly related to other larger bovines. Owing to its unpredictable nature, which makes it highly dangerous to humans, the African buffalo has never been domesticated unlike its Asian counterpart, the water buffalo. Other than humans, African Cape buffaloes have few predators aside from lions and are capable of defending themselves. Being a member of the "big five" game family, the Cape buffalo is a sought-after trophy in hunting.

Felix and Jamie pose for Andy as 350 253 rolls into Stafford station. Both boys had enjoyed a day of diverse traction with 3 37's, 2 68's, 2 86's, 4 90's and a HST thrown in for good measure. I'm quite sure Andy won't use his shot as my bags were in the way, again, sorry dude.

Taken in my bathroom sink. Dropped the orange half's with one hand while I took the picture with the other. Enjoy!
