Pool at the beach last year.

Taken behind a waterfall called Gluggafoss in Fljótshlíð, south of Iceland today.

And nothing speaks "thirsty" more than a jar of cold lemonade, am I right?

I've been working on a small tropical beach setup at my home and just had to take some pictures. Apple Fall is stunning as always in their detail and attention to items! I'm in love!

Coconut drink is from Dust Bunny, lantern is by BAZAR, and the pillow and the dock are from What Next and the tray is a modified table by Vespertine!

With the extreme heat that many of us have been dealing with, I thought an image of some nice, cool, clean snow might be refreshing and serve as a reminder that cooler days lay ahead.

This is the brooder house on the farm on which my wife Sammy was raised in the 1940s and 50s. Their family farm, at its peak, contained 10,000 chickens.

*insert something cliche about Bokeh & Tonic here*

On a hot summery day

Too tired right now to think of any other title ...

Lots of northern flickers ( red shafted ) in the yard, at varying ages their colors differ one from another

The spotless starling dipped his beak into the cool pond water, a mirror for the fading sunset. It had been a long, hot day of foraging. With a sudden, explosive energy, he submerged his chest and began to flail his wings, sending arcs of water silver high into the air.

He ducked, twisted, and soaked every last feather, feeling the dust and heat wash away. For a brief moment, the world was just motion and water, a perfect, invigorating moment of pure joy before shaking himself dry and flying off into the evening twilight.

This photo was a treat to an otherwise rainy gloomy day. I was overjoyed to find this lone flower and privledged to photograph it.

I drink roselle tea these days to keep fit in this heat.

Go for a cleansing at Inunakisan waterfall...

Enjoying the bathe in the lake, the Black Bear is a picture of contentment

Signs say "Do Not Feed" but they didn't say anything about giving a drink! This was taken up top of Angels Landing (1500' straight down right there) in Zion National Park.

It was so refreshing to get all glammed up and have an evening out. I am finding it all a little hard at the moment getting into the real world of work and everyday life.

Take tonight for example. The girls went out from work and weren't due back until late. So when I got home the first thing I did was to change out of my work clothes and change into a flowing maxi dress after have a nice cool shower, I just then pottered around doing a little house work,

It just feel so much more as it should be.

And today was made even better as an old friend posted a couple of photos after almost seven months. It was so nice to see her cheeky smile once more.

With the heat and humidity of the Japanese summer, finding such an area in the mountains is so refreshing, for the mind and the body.
