The public artwork at Leeds Dock featuring figures pushing spheres is entitled "A Reflective Approach" and was created by artist Kevin Atherton. It is inspired by the Greek myth of Sisyphus and consists of two life-size bronze figures and mirror-polished stainless-steel spheres located along the path near Armouries Drive and the dock edge.

The reflective surface of the sphere provides an optical illusion, distorting the surrounding cityscape and the viewer's reflection.

Sometimes early morning commutes on bikes can be very nice.

The Ripon Canal is located in North Yorkshire, England. It was built by the canal engineer William Jessop to link the city of Ripon with the navigable section of the River Ure at Oxclose lock, from where boats could reach York and Hull. It opened in 1773, and was a moderate success. It was sold to the Leeds and Thirsk Railway in 1847, and was effectively closed by 1906, due to neglect. It was not nationalised with most canals and railways in 1948, and was abandoned in 1956

The original photo of my 'Rhapsody in Blue' rose was taken a while ago {using my old Canon compact camera} but I decided to do a bit of post-processing on it.

This particular effect is in my ON1 software and is called Light Leak. I also did a bit of blending and smudging here and there where I thought it was needed and cropped it too.
