Beautiful evening light over one of the many lakes surrounding Jasper in Western Alberta (Canadian Rockies), Canada.
Derwent water around sunset, I so wanted to capture the reflections and also the Autumn colours on the trees on the Island. I was not happy with the standard exposure, it did not give me all I wanted on the live view on the back of the camera. So I bracketed five shots with a thought to a blend. So here is the standard exposure for the foreground rocks the Island and background mountains and the second shot is one stop under exposed to capture the sky detail and reflections then manually blend together, this took me ages to do but so happy with the final result .
I did try editing up the standard exposure but to my mind it did not look that great so I have stuck with my blended version .
It truly is amazing how other buildings can reflect in crazy shapes and forms creating a complete change of view.
Pushing on that trigger is like pulling magic into my very soul...Darrell.
Have a safe and peaceful day dear Flickr friends !
For this topic I put a silver teaspoon next to a glass paperweight. Getting the reflection involved tipping the spoon towards the glass paperweight.
Quite lucky today to not only get this female in flight, but also her reflection in the water below !

"Some of the days in November carry the whole memory of summer as a fire opal carries the color of moonrise. These are the days I especially love, when the air lies soft and quiet over the dreaming earth; it is a reflective and thoughtful time."

As one of my favourite jetty's had finally succumb to its fait. I have this new jetty taking its place to photograph. Enjoying shooting something different in an familiar location :)
Soon he will transform into his exotic form but for now he's difficult to tell apart from the ladies.
