moments of reflection. these reflections were also simply irresistible, specially when the waters are calm and the skies are blue

Wading in a canal, this bull's reflection was cast on the still water. This photo was taken on a cattle ranch west of Fort Pierce, Florida.

Reflections of Nature

Lago Di Brais is a beautiful lake surrounded by the Dolomite Mountains. While there are plenty of locations around the shoreline for photo opportunities, I wanted to get a better perspective to showcase both the mountains and their reflections in the lake. To get it, I had to make an early hour climb up a hillside a bit of a distance from the lake. The spot I chose required shooting the scene at 300mm rather than the more classical wide-angle versions that can be seen in other images. It proves that using telephoto lenses can be used for landscape photography just as effectively as much wider-angle lenses.

Reflections

McMasterville, Qc

Two of my favourite elements for photography, bridges and reflections. Throw in some soft yellow post sunrise light and I'm a happy bunny.

I was busy taking a photo of the reflection of the bridge in the water for this challenge when a group of young boys trundled across it on their motorised scooters. I was too late to take a photo, however, a couple of girls were coming up the rear so I did not miss the chance afterall. Fun and Reflection = two challenges in one.

Reflections at Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland at night. Weather conditions were near ideal for reflections. It was a calm night and a clear moonlit sky. Long exposure taken with my Camera mounted on my Manfrotto 190 tripod.

A nice still morning for reflections

TOKYO INTERNATINAL FORUM

Love the intersecting lines and the reflection in the glass...

Due to superfluous rain in the last couple of weeks, this field was largely flooded. On this drairy day, the tree's reflection in the water, together with the fog, created a moody atmosphere.

A picturesque morning in late August. No wind and perfect sunlight created absolutely symmetric reflections on that particular morning, before the tourists arrive and ride small boats.

爽やかな晩夏の朝ならではの反映。観光客が湖に到着して、ボートに乗る前しか見れない風景。幼いころ以来見た自然の素晴らしさに思わず感動しました。

Reflections on The River Pang.

An unusually mild day for the end of December.

Reflections along the pond at Dana fork in Tioga road. We could hear the roaring thunder amidst the storm. I stepped out of the car to capture during a short break from the rain.

Underneath the M3 motorway near Byfleet, there runs a canal. The legs of the motorway were covered in graffiti.

I had seen the location whilst travelling on the train from Winchester to London. A trip I used to make on common occasion.

I went up with a friend. We drove to the nearest trainstation and proceded to scout the place by foot. This took effort. We had to scale 3 barbed wire fences twice our height, clear 2 large bramble bushes and clear the canal on a rope swing. The worst part of the journey was crossing 8 sets of live rails with a train hurtling passed at 80m.p.h.

I broke my tripod and ruined a T shirt but got the reflection shot I needed.

This was entered into my successful ARPS panel.

Common blue.In all this gloom and doom, the results of the 2019 Scottish Nature Photography awards have been announced today. Night walk about and capturing some reflections

Plaza de España, Madrid, Spain

Taken with a single shot, not double exposure.

a surprisingly decent result given that with the extremely dull & boring grey sky, the reflection was the only way to get it done :)

I was just going through our Arizona trip and remember we hiked along Oak Creek for a while. The sun was blazing every day of our trip so bright light was around every corner.
