Photo shot by my Dad, Jay Thomson, at Etowah, TN in June 2011
On June 15, 2011 Dad shot ARMN reefer 761065 in the CSX yard at Etowah, Tennessee.
ARMN is a reporting mark owned now Union Pacific (hence the UP shield on the other end of the car). UP inherited the reporting mark from Missouri Pacific. Until 1971 MP had co-owned with Norfolk & Western (earlier, Wabash) the American Refrigirator Transit Company but when the partnership was disolved MP had the reporting mark. UP has dusted off that reporting mark and is applying it to some former UPFE cars as well as some new cars built since 1994 or so.

many times the railroads would update the critical information on the sides of a freight car and not paint the entire car. This is an example If you look at the top of the car you can see the end of the roof walk, something necessary to add the blocks of ice for cooling the produce hauled.
