A month after my daughter was born my mother sent me a bunch of baby pictures of myself so I could compare what I looked like at that age to what my infant daughter looks like. So of course I grabbed my camera and tripod and went to work!

The series Acoustic Anarchy is a semi-biographical account of Mark’s life growing up in Singapore. In capturing the struggle against conformity and the spirit of rebellion, it also celebrates the subcultures that have informed both his life and artistic practice. Mark says, “Our recent works explore an alternative universe: life as an American teenager in the 80s - the golden era of skateboarding, and the birth of a new movement. In this fictitious world of Acoustic Anarchy, skateboarding is an occupation, punk rock is a religion and Henry Rollins is god.”
This exhibition showcase SBTG's wholly distinctive and inimitable style that marries grit with finesse, craftsmanship with artistry, and expressiveness with urbanity.

Back in 2009 I think, I discovered a programme called LDD (Lego Digital Designer). It allowed me an almost limitless supply of Lego bricks to create virtual structures. I was instantly taken back to my 5th birthday when I got my first Lego fire engine.
Having evolved a pronounced interest in all things roboty (is that a word?) my preference was for mechanised creations. One of my earliest I called "spider bot" and it was a multi-limbed agent working for a group known as the Space Skulls (which is a theme created by Lego themselves).
My construction techniques and knowledge of the programme were limited back then, so this is not representative of my best work, but I'm still fairly impressed with the results.
Some time later (around 2011 I believe) I went back and reinvented the design using new techniques I had developed since. The results I referred to as the Spiderbot redux and this is the result.

i've been trading photos of house remodel stuff and really admiring what can be done with your own sweat and vision. this is our kitchen after our quickie remodel. It's so much more functional. there used to be a wall where the island is located and the washer and dryer was where the fridge is now-the fridge was blocking a window which i think is heinous . oded installed the washer/dryer in a hallway closet (kudos to him for doing all the plumbing and electrical work for this and all our projects). I usually envision the work and then he executes it after i bug him repeatedly until he relents-i help where i can of course (painting, sanding, hammering, etc). i love remodeling, but seriously, what am i going to do with my time now?
