My Big Redneck wedding pitch. (I didn't win). The concept is an animated calendar of mayhem leading up to the big day.
The chair rail and crown moldings were added and then paint colors that complemented the existing furnishings and window treatments were added. We added three picture frame molding boxes with a darker accent color to highlight the art work.
Logo for Animux, a brand new Linux distro specifically for animators and artists.
There's lots more cool stuff from this project coming out in the next few days... stay tuned :)

This is funny: I literally just uploaded this so I didn't have to print it out. I'm designing upstairs on the computer and fabbing downstairs in the shop. I could print this out and bring it downstairs, but now that it's here I can just pull it up on my iPhone. Pretty cool, tho what I really want is a hologram I can set up down there...
What the LEADERSHIP newspaper looked like before the redesign and training efforts. The design workshops and design process was led by Robb Montgomery, a U.S. journalist who has led newspaper redesigns, in San Francisco, Chicago and Washington, D.C.

I spent a few hours in Photoshop this morning, trying to prove to myself that I'm not overly shitty when it comes to design.
So whilst I set out to design a new business theme to be released on WooThemes, I soon realized that I was onto something that hit a little closer to home.
This is the V1 mockup of the header. I still need to add a little something there, as it feels slightly empty, but I'm very happy with the colours, gradient & integration of my photo.
I'm also super-proud of myself for actually being able to cut out my photo and separate it from its previous background (something I haven't been great with before).

We never did come up with a logo for The Beacon that satisfied me, no matter how many times we redesigned it, I always wanted to turn it into a giant cock.
This is a photoshop render, for a redesign project.
The aim was to bring out the next series for a particular brand. - In this case I designed a Hilti drywall screw driver.

This is the reloading drive motor for quartet.
The set screws almost worked but proved themselves to be crap. (as they always do but sometimes i get lazy and use them anyways)
So clamps come in to save the day. (keyways, press fits, and glue are options too)
Looks very nice, and its using the Activity Streams spec, but, alas, there are way too many cliches I could spout ( "Day late. Dollar short" ).
Molasses slow reaction times aside, myspace is still a really good for bands to distribute their music - something Facebook and Twitter don't/can't do.
How my home page will (or should) look next month.
This is still a prototype.

the "new" MLBs were identical to the original ones, but with slightly different connectors. as opposed to the original ones, these are lower profile, about 1mm tall, versus the original 2mm.

Any thoughts? I generally like it, but I'm unsure about the scroll. That's been one of the most problematic parts of the design for me. Since I decided to go with the whole old-timey thing, I thought it would be amusing to put PodWorks and Cocoalicious side by side over a scroll like in those old campaign buttons where they'd have the presidential and vice presidential candidates side by side.
