Redbrick Safety Sneakers Classics bij Woltex

De Classics zien er uit als nette luxe schoenen in plaats van als sneakers. Net als de sneakers hebben ze de beveiliging van veiligheidsschoenen.

The redbrick building is a new bit of infill. Fairly standard neogeorgian stuff, but nicely done. A shop on the ground floor and what look like a couple of flats above. They seem to have a terrace out the back and I suppose their access will be through the side wing on the right here since there's no entry from the street front where the shop is.

Walking through the lanes in Shanghai it was common to see a collection of empty chairs, sofas and stools all waiting for occupants at the end of the days work. East meets west here as these companions wait for their occupants.

A small group of people who belong to the Decorative Arts Group and Building through the Ages Group of Northampton U3A, both of which are interested in the Arts & Crafts movement visited Wightwick Manor. We were made extremely welcome and had a guided tour inside the house before lunch, followed by a guided walk around the outside of the building looking at the architectural features.

Randomly located on a street of redbrick terraced houses is this house, a squareish, modern, windowed house and this is the plant and wall outside.

Today I went out to get more photos, but I am not in the mood to play with them. So here is today's photo of the day and yesterday's as part of my new year's resolution to upload a photo a day. I'm going back to the paper now!

You can see the house (as I didn't get a good shot of it) and me taking this photo here:
