Pavilion and scorebox at Shiregreen Cricket Club. Captured before a Premier Division defeat by Cawthorne, Shiregreen's Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League rivals. The teams were promoted, in 2023, from the second tier Championship.
After skittling their hosts for just 47, Cawthorne won by 10 wickets, in two hours 42 minutes - including the lunch interval! Shiregreen were hampered by the lack of a professional. Their 2024 Indian recruit was obliged to give back word, and his Pakistani replacement is having trouble securing a visa. In addition, a key bowler was ruled out through injury and two other players were away in Pakistan dealing with personal issues.
