This was a shot from the November Triangle Strobist meetup. The goal was to create a redneck version of the original image used in Maxell advertisements. www.flickr.com/photos/paragon1/2854296933/sizes/l/ The lighting was an Alien Bee in a large Octobox behind the model and another Alien Bee bounced off the ceiling in the middle. I used Photoshop CS4's "Content Aware Scaling" to stretch it out a bit to make it truer to the original, did a bit of cloning to make Corey's rug bigger and added some grain.

Wikipedia provides this definition: "Redneck is a derogatory slang term used in reference to poor, uneducated white farmers, especially from the Southern United States.[1][2] It is similar in meaning to cracker (especially regarding Georgia and Florida), hillbilly (especially regarding Appalachia and the Ozarks).
Comedian Jeff Foxworthy's 1993 comedy album You Might Be a Redneck If... cajoled listeners to evaluate their own behavior in the context of stereotypical redneck behavior, and resulted in more mainstream usage of the term.
