There just wasn't room in our fridge for a twenty-pound turkey, but it was 30 degrees or less from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day. So the bird went in a 5-gallon bucket, I packed it with ice and ice packs, and onto the balcony it went.

Huntington Beach - Bordered on one side by Pacific Coast Highway and oil fields and houses on the other, Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve wetlands is a 300 acre coastal sanctuary for wildlife and migratory birds. There's a wooden bridge crossing over a tidal inlet and a 1.5 mile loop trail providing spectacular wildlife viewing.

The boys were shoveling the side steps and walway off, I was doing the front and we had no more shovels for my husband to use. So he improvised this morning from the pile of bathroom renovation materials we ran out of time to take to the burn pile yesterday. His pc of plywood seemed to work better than any of our shovels - unfortunately he is the only one strong enough to weild it.

This was a bucktoothed mule I spotted in the Fes Medina. He was just standing off on his own waiting for his owner to load him up for the trip home. In the Fes Medina (A UNESCO World HEritage Site), their is plenty of donkey traffic as the streets are too small for any car to traverse.
