A neighbor has a great view of moma fox and her kits from his window. On a walk yesterday I saw her watching me from the edge of the woods in his yard.

Rural red fox in Buckinghamshire.

In the remote Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge, this fox likely hasn't encountered people before. A curious, beautiful, sly, sweet young vixen wanted a souvenir. This is why when ever I'm in my car I have a camera at my hip. I was driving to one of my birding spots and this guy was along the side of the road into someone's driveway.

I surprised at how well furred he is. I would have thought with our warmer temps he'd have started shedding that winter coat.
