This young red fox with an adult red fox ( I don't know it is female or male) during the field trip. According to info online, at seven or eight weeks the parents will begin taking the kits on short hunting excursions.

Mixed series of four. Sunday morning walk over local lake. I was watching a Sparrowhawk chasing a small bird when I noticed this fox watching me. I don't know who was more surprised! Also in two trees were six Magpies looking for mischief.

A momma red fox was trotting along a busy street on her way to the den where she was nursing 5 kits. During my stay I only got to see one of the kits. Many a time I see dead foxes on roadways early in the morning when I go bird watching; sad to see these beautiful animals becoming roadkill. Clarington, Ontario.

Owning the road...this sly Red Fox couldn't bothered by any distraction even if it was paparazzi...

Been using a window filter to much lately. Marking her territory. Isle Lake Alberta

This little fox keeps me active and gives me so much and asks nothing in return.

Winters here are long, dark and to me depressing.

So, having something like her to look forward to each day really helps the short dark days pass more quickly.

It gets me out of the house.

I get exercise, fresh air and I have a great time while doing it.

I think it is what helps keep me young! :-)

One morning recently on a sunrise hike, we had the treat of seeing a few foxes. This young Red Fox had a case of the zoomies. At one point she came trotting over the rise of the hill and there we were, she stopped and watched us from about 30 feet away and then "zoomed" on up the hill and back down close to where we were again. Such a beautiful animal.

Unfortunately, she seems to have lost her fear of humans due to the area they live and the probability that people are feeding them. Please do not feed wildlife, for their health and safety!

4th December 2016 Spud posed for some photos this morning but after a bit gave a big huff showing he was a bit fed up so I left him to it.

A very rare opportunity presented itself to me today with the Australian Red Fox in a perfect clearing in the Sydney Suburb of Turrella. This Fox is a timid as it is cunning. If there wasn't a creek dividing us it would have disappeared as fast as it appeared. With 600mm of zoom, a creek doesn't stop me from capturing this very shy animal .
