Like many red flowers, red chrysanthemums symbolize love and passion. If you're looking for blooms for an anniversary or Valentine's Day, take a break from roses and opt for red chrysanthemum flowers

I would like to try to photograph the "stoneman" not only in the mountains or at the sea. Instead, sometimes in puddles, in urban areas or small watercourses. And without interfering with nature. It will always be the same stones that I remove again.

Wikipedia: The red-wattled lapwing (Vanellus indicus) is an Asian lapwing or large plover, a wader in the family Charadriidae. Like other lapwings they are ground birds that are incapable of perching. It breeds from West Asia (Iraq, SW Iran, Persian Gulf) eastwards across South Asia (Baluchistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the entire Indian subcontinent up to Kanyakumari and up to 1800m in Kashmir/Nepal), with another sub-species further east in Southeast Asia. May migrate altitudinally in spring and autumn (e.g. in N. Baluchistan or NW Pakistan), and spreads out widely in the monsoons on creation of requisite habitats, but by and large the populations are resident.

A male Red Crossbill at Bogus Basin near Boise, Idaho
"A fascinating finch of coniferous woodlands, the Red Crossbill forages on nutritious seeds in pine, hemlock, Douglas-fir, and spruce cones. Their specialized bills allow them to break into unopened cones, giving them an advantage over other finch species.
A crossbill's odd bill shape helps it get into tightly closed cones. A bird's biting muscles are stronger than the muscles used to open the bill, so the Red Crossbill places the tips of its slightly open bill under a cone scale and bites down. The crossed tips of the bill push the scale up, exposing the seed inside."
Unfortunately the Red Moon Eclipse from Nov 19 was not visible in Germany, so I took my foto of the wonderful red moon from April.

Red, red wine, goes to my head
Makes me forget that I
Still need you so...
Red, red wine, it's up to you
All I can do, I've done
Memories won't go
Memories won't go
I'd have sworn that with time
Thoughts of you would leave my head
I was wrong, now I find
Just one thing makes me forget

Squirrels in the UK
There are two species of squirrel in the UK; red squirrels and grey squirrels. Populations are currently estimated at approximately 140,000 red squirrels and 2.5 million grey squirrels. Red squirrels are our native species and have lived in the UK for around 10,000 years, Grey squirrels were introduced to the UK from North America by the Victorians in the 1800s, the first record of them escaping and establishing a wild population is 1876.
