Red Squirrel Conservation - Escot -Ottery St Mary.

I had great difficulty in photographing these little devils. It was a dull day and they were always on the go. As soon as you have focus they are off before you can press the shutter button. This is one of my better efforts from the afternoon.

Thanks for all of the comments and faves, they are very much appreciated.

Late May and my first trip out of the year to photograph Red Kites and Foxes, Hopefully.

The Red Fox is our only wild member of the dog family. They are not fussy eaters and will happily munch on small mammals, birds, frogs, worms as well as berries and fruit.

Famed for their cunning and stealth, these orangey-red dogs with their bushy tails can be seen in towns and the countryside.

Red Fire in Green Sky

model and photographer : me :)

I had Cabin Fever and had to go for a walk in the Rain, however it was worth getting wet when I found these Red Carnation's.

Nice to see a few red admirals yesterday.

An inspiring morning amongst the trees and rolling countryside. These little guys were a lot tamer than anticipated. Didn't quite nail the perfect shot but happy to just see them in the wild.

The Reds are native to the UK, unlike their better known and more frequently sighted cousins, the Grey Squirrel. The Greys are native to North America and were first released in the UK in 1876 by the Victorians. The Greys are bigger and have a reputation for being more aggressive but also carry the squirrel pox virus which, although it doesn’t seem to harm the Greys, is a serious infection for Red squirrels.

Took trip to the Zoo yesterday and looked up to see this red panda overhead. The red panda is a vulnerable species.

Be. careful crossing the ice plains. Red Walkers roam, looking for easy prey.

My first little build in a multi-Lug project using magazine foil bag sets. I am building for Northern Brickworks.

This is a warm up really, just having some quick fun, though I still have no idea where it will lead.

“Everything that slows us down and forces patience, everything that sets us back into the slow circles of nature, is a help. Gardening is an instrument of grace.”

~ May Sarton

Haven't been out with the camera for four weeks. Hope to get out soon. Apologies for lack of recent comments. I've had a lot happening away from photography

Want to wish all my friends on flickr (and their families) a very Happy 2013.

Thought I'd sign off 2012 with a pic of one of my favourite subjects. The little guys at this location have been having a very hard time of late. Don't know if any are hanging on. If they are I hope they have a better 2013

All the best everyone.
