Summer Garden Flower Red Rose Outddors Plant Petals Bush

Red is the hottest of the warm colors. Studies show that red can have a physical effect, increasing the rate of respiration and raising blood pressure. Red is love, red is violence and warfare. Red is Cupid and the Devil.

Culture of Red:

Red is power, hence the red power tie for business people (ha ha, anyone notice President Obama wearing that red tie during his inaugural address?) and the red carpet for celebrities and VIPs. More can be found in www.about.com about the color red =)

Red Buds from the Nature

The Red Bellied Woodpecker is one of my favorites, becuase i can give complete credit to it for starting my love for photography! It was Summer 2009 when i saw this strange looking bird on my deck.. i had no idea what it was, i was thinking it was some sort of tropical parrot, LOL! I did some research and found out it was a Red Bellied Woodpecker! It was the first woodpecker i'd ever seen, and i had to get a photo! At the time i had a Kodak zoom, but after awhile i wanted better quality and upgraded to my Nikon D5000 Christmas 2009.

** I'll include a few of the first photos taken with my Nikon ( I dont have the ones with the Kodak anymore!)

I think i've come a long way since i first got my camera... which is wonderful becuase photography is all about growing and learning with your camera:)

#mood for Winter:

I'm driving home for Christmas

Oh, I can't wait to see those faces

I'm driving home for Christmas, yea

Well I'm moving down that line

And it's been so long

But I will be there

I sing this song

To pass the time away

Driving in my car

Driving home for Christmas

It's gonna take some time

But I'll get there

Top to toe in tailbacks

Oh, I got red lights on the run

But soon there'll be a freeway yeah

Get my feet on holy ground

So I sing for you

Though you can't hear me

When I get through

And feel you near me

Driving in my car

I'm driving home for Christmas

Driving home for Christmas

With a thousand memories

I take a look at the driver next to me

He's just the same

Just the same

Top to toe in tailbacks

Oh, I got red lights all around, uh

I'm driving home for Christmas, yeah

Get my feet on holy ground

So I sing for you

Though you can't hear me

When I get through

Oh and feel you near me

Driving in my car

Driving home for Christmas

Driving home for Christmas

With a thousand memories

I take a look at the driver next to me

He's just the same

He's driving home, driving home

Red is my favourite colour as some of you know or have guessed:) I have to say I have grown addicted to macro photos lately, been shooting every plant that I can get my lens on so I can see its texture up CLOSE!

Thank you all for your nice comments on my previous photos. I always appreciate it if any of you have tips on macro photography since I am quite new at it so please don't hesitate to type it down below!

Hope you all had a great weekend! :D
