Great Centrals end of steam gala and trying recreate the Guinea special 1L50. It was 8F 48624 & class 5 73156 renumbered as 48476 & 73069 which were the two locos that ran on that service 50 years ago. Kinchley lane 11/8/18.
I am amazed at and thankful for all the folks helping to recreate the Jersey Shore. Four months have past, the rebuilding has begun and is moving along at warp speed. We are all filled with hopes of the boardwalk being operational by Memorial Day weekend, the official unofficial opening of summer season here “down the shore“. Next weekend the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will go on. This was unimaginable four months ago.
There are still so many homes sitting in limbo, tear down or rebuild? People waiting on help from FEMA and or insurance monies. The red tape is miles long. At last count my small town had nearly 100 homes/families with lives still up in the air. However, on the bright side, businesses are repairing and reopening at a rapid rate.
Sandy’s winds may have destroyed our homes, our boardwalk and our beaches. But she did not blow away all the memories we carry with us.
“Restore the Shore”. I, personally, don’t think it can be restored to what it was. I will remain optimist and believe it will be rebuilt. We will all create new memories.

Recreating a journey on which 3238 was a regular on until its demise in April. Preserved 3238 P238 MKN is pictured on High Street, Eynsford during her first run in preservation. Tuesday 9th June 2015.

Recreated Einon's fantastic AR-196 and then made a render for him. Fabulous model aircraft. The swept back wings is an excellent feature. And of course, CAMO!! :) Looked simple enough to recreate, of course I was wrong. Took me a lil while to get her together.

The Santa Barbara Mission dam was built by Indian labor in 1806. The aqueduct system delivered stored water to the Santa Barbara Mission, established in 1786.
It may be small in stature as waterfalls go, but it's huge on charm ;-)

With the proposal of a Movie coloured 60's Dalek on the horizon I was inspired to look into ways of recreating the 60's Dalek art (such as by Ron Turner) with the Character Options toys.. This is so very basic but as a first attempt I quite like it. Sadly my 'starscape' is tiny so framing has to be very tight.
Missing off the rally scene for a number of years but now well and truly back is unique Metrobus livery, preserved RF255 MLL792 is seen on Chelsfield Lane as it skirts Ramsden Estate, Orpington whilst recreating route 493. Sunday 17th May 2015
Whilst in this guise this vehicle rarely strayed off of route 746 which was a summer only trip from Bromley to Tunbridge Wells via Westerham. However it was known to have worked Ramsden Estate circular route 493 on at least two occasions and it is that which was recreated on this day.

Recreating Rembrandt - The Ottoman Prince by Daniel Arrhakis (2025)
A new series "Recreating Rembrandt - A Personal Tribute " -When I was younger, during a visit to the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, there was a painting that marked my life: "Pallas Athene", an oil painting, circa 1657 by Rembrandt.
In these series, using various digital techniques, the artist proposes to recreate some of the master's most famous paintings, trying to recreate the motifs, the scenography and especially the tones and light in a unique and very personal tribute.
In many cases some elements were recreated, or created for each painting, used art collage, hand digital painting and textured layered techniques for the final results.
Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (1606 – 1669), monotonously known as Rembrandt was a Dutch Golden Age painter, print-maker, and draughtsman.
He is generally considered one of the greatest visual artists in the history of Western art. It is estimated that Rembrandt's surviving works amount to about three hundred paintings, three hundred etchings and several hundred drawings.
Sometimes it's nice just to go back to an old favourite shot and not recreate it.
I was also glad to see that My Favourite Tree, despite losing a branch several years ago, has recovered into a very pleasing shape, especially with its late summer plumage on.
I'm thinking of starting a new photography project - I will try to recreate some works of famous painters through digital photography. For my second attempt, here's my recreation of Vincent Van Gogh's Les Alyscamps

Thought my newest fig would like company.
This custom by Christo has some very good things about it, while still have one or two items I wish he would have reconsidered. Here's my thoughts on this great fig from Christo.
Review
The face print...holy! In my opinion, it is exactly like Scarlett Johanson in the movies (especially Iron Man 2 and Avengers) and is perfectly done. As you may know, I think faces are the key to any custom fig, and this one Christo nailed! The pouty lip shape and the designs of the eye are perfect, as is the slight eye shadow above them. The armpatch is also well done and perfect for her.
The one thing I was dissappointed by is the torso design. While he gets the red buckle right at her midrif, the very slight lines of the suit on the black make it very hard to see, and I think thicker lines and a slightly lighter gray shade might have been better here. I also think that the outline of the the curve on this torso and the areas where the belt ends along the side of the torso make the figure not really line up well with the legs and are a bit oddly placed. I think in this case, a placing of the curves and ends of the belts closer to the edge of the torso might have been a better choice here. But, overall, it still is clearly related to the Black Widow characters clothes and is much better (in my opinion) than TLG's version of Black Widow.
Still, with my small critique of the torso design withstanding, this is an excellent fig of Scarlett Johanson's Black Widow character that I've been trying to get my hands on for some time and glad I've finally go it. While not the best of Christo's figures overall, it is one of the best faces he has designed.

Recreating her start as a street performer, with a wedding dress and a crate, she became the eight-foot bride, offering a flower as a bridge across the loneliness.
“I actually made a predictable income, which was shocking to me since I did not have any regular customers. $60 on a Tuesday and $90 on a Friday.”
From there to the Dresden Dolls and then a solo career that got quite a kick when she had the most successful Kickstarter raise for a musical act.
“People have been asking the wrong question: “How do we make people pay for music?” What if instead we ask, “How do we let people pay for music?”
“Our music is a mix of punk and cabaret. It’s not for everybody. [laugh] Well, maybe it’s for you” she said, singling me out for some reason. Must have been the eye contact.
“When we really see each other, we want to help each other.”

My dynamic, historical recreation of the Arthurian legend of The Lady of the Lake. It is the perfect picture except that: it is not historical; it is a plastic dagger, not a sword; modern plumbing is involved; and of course it is badly executed, in black and white no less. But the intent was there!

On August 31, 2021, the legendary Rio Grande Southern Railroad was brought back to life (if only for a day). Built in 1891 by Otto Mears, the original RGS was located in Colorado’s southwest corner and ran between Durango and Ridgway via Lizard Head Pass, hauling coal, silver ore, and other goods from the mining communities of Telluride and Rico. The RGS was profitable for only a few years before a silver panic crippled its finances, but nevertheless it managed to stay in business, struggling through two world wars before running its last train in 1951. Following this, its 3-foot-gauge rails were taken up.
Rio Grande Southern No. 20, an 1899 Schenectady Ten-Wheeler, is one of four RGS steam locomotives still in existence. It was preserved by the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club in 1952 when the RGS was abandoned and over the years was cosmetically restored for display, first in Alamosa and later at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden. After fifty years sitting cold, No. 20 was transported to the Strasburg Rail Road in Strasburg, Penn., for a top-to-bottom restoration beginning in 2006 that took 12 long years to compete. The restoration was spearheaded by a donation from the Moedinger family of Pennsylvania, who put up $400,000 for the effort. After additional fundraising, No. 20 finally steamed again around the loop track at the Colorado Railroad Museum in 2020.
While a 3/4th mile loop is nice for a short train ride, Jeff Taylor and others at CRRM desired take No. 20 to a railroad where it could really stretch its legs. That opportunity came in 2021. For No. 20’s first major outing since restoration the museum took the 4-6-0 to the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad at Antonito, Colorado. Its visit coincided with the Victorian Iron Horse Roundup, held in in celebration of the C&TS’s 50th anniversary, which featured four locomotives built before 1900.
The trip with No. 20 on August 31 was sponsored by TRAINS Magazine, with editor Jim Wrinn and video producer Kevin Gilliam coordinating the event for photographers. The event was dubbed “Sunset on the Rio Grande Southern.”
Tickets for the event went fast, despite it costing nearly $900. The primary goal of “Sunset on the Rio Grande Southern” was to recreate an RGS trip that the late William Moedinger photographed in 1941, with the brakeman riding the pilot beam to watch for landslides. The first half of the consist matched the train that Moedinger photographed that day, which was featured on the cover of TRAINS in February 1942. William Moedinger’s son Linn was the person that did much of the restoration work on No. 20 during its time in Pennsylvania.
Denver & Rio Grande Western 2-8-2 No. 463, owned by the C&TS, was re-lettered as long-scrapped Rio Grande Southern No. 455 for the trip, and doubleheaded with No. 20. Thanks to decades of hard work by the Friend of the C&TS, the Cumbres & Toltec was able to provide a long string of authentic narrow-gauge equipment with an authentic RGS short caboose bringing up the markers. The scenery on the C&TS between Antonito and Osier is similar to the territory the RGS ran in.
The charter was an incredible experience and recreated scenes that hadn’t been seen since the 1940s. Was it worth the money? I’ll let you be the judge of that, but for me it certainly was. A big thanks is due Jim Wrinn and Kevin Gilliam, plus the men and women of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic for making it all possible.

A Palestinian group from Gaza hacks into North Korea’s cryptocurrency system, stealing hundreds of millions of dollars. Their true goal is not money—but to recreate the lost homeland of Gaza on American soil.
Amid the backdrop of hardline Republican immigration policies and a growing wave of xenophobia, a quiet plan begins to take shape: the gradual collapse of America from within.
During a speech at Madison Square Garden, Republican presidential candidate Justin Bradford is shot. Almost simultaneously in Los Angeles, former president Owen Reed is attacked at a rally for Democratic hopeful Ryan Bennett.
Two assassinations—mirroring one another—ignite a nation’s deepest divide. Yet, against all odds, Justin survives. His blood type is one in 2.5 million: the Bombay Blood Group.
The only person who can donate such blood is Anaya Patel, a community art facilitator working in Brooklyn. Her blood, stored in the Bellevue Hospital Blood Bank, is used for an emergency transfusion that saves the candidate’s life.
Jack Vance, an agent of the U.S. Secret Service, suspects a Gaza-based network behind the attacks. Together with Cameron Bartlett, the FBI Director of the Los Angeles Field Office, and Veronica Reeves, a senior investigator from New York, he begins to uncover a vast conspiracy.
Their investigation leads them to Rafi Gannam, a former architecture student at the Islamic University of Gaza, who has infiltrated redevelopment sites across Los Angeles and New York—embedding C4 explosives deep within beams and structural cores.
His targets: new residential districts where agents of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and ERO (Enforcement and Removal Operations) live—symbols of “the order America built.”
Veronica urges the President to pursue dialogue to prevent further destruction, but President Grant M. Ranford refuses to listen.
Meanwhile, the recovering Justin and his Democratic rival Ryan appear on national television, calling for unity beyond political divisions.
Their words of reason, however, are drowned out when Grant takes the stage in Iowa, defiantly declaring: “We will never bow to terror.”
Among the crowd, Rafi’s operatives have already taken their positions.
As chaos erupts and the stage collapses, Amir Nasser—once Rafi’s comrade, haunted by the memory of his sister’s death in Gaza—tries desperately to halt the chain of destruction.
But Rafi’s conviction remains unshaken.
Under the twilight beneath the Williamsburg Bridge, amid the city’s fading noise, the two men part ways.
It is the boundary between prayer and vengeance, between hope and nothingness.

•特徴：通常のABO血液型を持たない（A、B、Oに分類されない）特殊な型。
•発見地：1952年、インド・ムンバイ（旧ボンベイ）で初めて確認。
