One of Hamburg's famous attractions is its historic warehouse district known as "Speicherstadt" (literally: warehouse city). I went to the area two times. The first time my Dutch friend Michiel brought me there on a blustery day; the second time I returned in sunnier weather, which was when I encountered the filming of a period costume drama on St. Annenufer. The day was 16 April, 2019, but I don't know the title of the film/ movie/ TV program being filmed.

Speicherstadt is the largest warehouse district in the world where the red-brick warehouses were built on on oak-log pile foundations next to the Hamburg harbour and canals between 1883 and 1927. The district was created as a free-trade zone to transfer goods without paying customs. After the 1960s, vast technological changes in shipping and logistics diminished the area's importance in trade. From the 1980s onward, the old warehouses were converted into offices for media companies, advertising agencies, art studios, museums and galleries, restaurants and cafés, and a few retail shops. Speicherstadt is entirely surrounded by water, crisscrossed by canals and connected by numerous bridges. It is a confusing but interesting area to explore. (With some information from Wikipedia.)

I am amazed at and thankful for all the folks helping to recreate the Jersey Shore. Four months have past, the rebuilding has begun and is moving along at warp speed. We are all filled with hopes of the boardwalk being operational by Memorial Day weekend, the official unofficial opening of summer season here “down the shore“. Next weekend the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will go on. This was unimaginable four months ago.
There are still so many homes sitting in limbo, tear down or rebuild? People waiting on help from FEMA and or insurance monies. The red tape is miles long. At last count my small town had nearly 100 homes/families with lives still up in the air. However, on the bright side, businesses are repairing and reopening at a rapid rate.
Sandy’s winds may have destroyed our homes, our boardwalk and our beaches. But she did not blow away all the memories we carry with us.
“Restore the Shore”. I, personally, don’t think it can be restored to what it was. I will remain optimist and believe it will be rebuilt. We will all create new memories.

I found an image in my old Flickr where I had written down what I was wearing! I thought that if I was lucky, I could find the things again. And if not, use some replacement in same style.
Lelutka Lake mesh head, Maitreya Lara mesh body with BoM activated, layer clothing and old sculpted belt! The beret was long gone, but I had one in same style.
What do you think... I still got style? :)

Recreating one of my most favorite artworks of my dolls! I did my best even though Rayleigh's arms aren't quite long enough, lol! <3
The artwork was drawn by IKR on deviantART, my most favorite artist! I need to get one drawn of Bambi x Journey and Catalina x Sebastian some day. :)
Recreated Einon's fantastic AR-196 and then made a render for him. Fabulous model aircraft. The swept back wings is an excellent feature. And of course, CAMO!! :) Looked simple enough to recreate, of course I was wrong. Took me a lil while to get her together.

Recreating Rembrandt - The Ottoman Prince by Daniel Arrhakis (2025)
A new series "Recreating Rembrandt - A Personal Tribute " -When I was younger, during a visit to the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, there was a painting that marked my life: "Pallas Athene", an oil painting, circa 1657 by Rembrandt.
In these series, using various digital techniques, the artist proposes to recreate some of the master's most famous paintings, trying to recreate the motifs, the scenography and especially the tones and light in a unique and very personal tribute.
In many cases some elements were recreated, or created for each painting, used art collage, hand digital painting and textured layered techniques for the final results.
Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (1606 – 1669), monotonously known as Rembrandt was a Dutch Golden Age painter, print-maker, and draughtsman.
He is generally considered one of the greatest visual artists in the history of Western art. It is estimated that Rembrandt's surviving works amount to about three hundred paintings, three hundred etchings and several hundred drawings.
I'm thinking of starting a new photography project - I will try to recreate some works of famous painters through digital photography. For my second attempt, here's my recreation of Vincent Van Gogh's Les Alyscamps

The KISS Photography Project
Photoshoot/Film at Lousado Railway Museum, Portugal Nov 2016
This project consists in recreating photographs of historic moments and about all the emotions captured by the lens. It is writing about the nostalgic and romantic background through a Kiss by the lens of the photographer.
The place of the experiences will be in several cities of Portugal starting in October 2014. The set-ups used are places like streets, train stations, buses, wharfs, bridges, and so many other places.
The methodology is always the scenery of romance but in a situation of surprise, with couples in love or just strangers in moments of daring.
This project has as references “vintage” photographs with moments of farewell or encounter.

I purchased the Classic Moana doll on release day (Monday, September 12, 2016) from my local Disney Store. She is 11 inches tall, and cost $19.95. She comes with a large plastic oar that is about as tall as she is. Also the backing cardboard can be made into a boat. It comes with a separate cardboard sail and instruction sheet. Moana has long curly dark brown hair, that is very soft to the touch and looks good right out of the box. She is stable free standing on her large flat feet. She has ball jointed neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hip joints. However, she only has internal click stop knee joints, and no ankle joints. She has a cloth top and skirt, and a plastic necklace. She is a very accurate depiction of the animated character. I show her boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed. I haven't created her boat yet, but will do so soon.

The Mercedes-Benz W136 was Mercedes-Benz's line of four-cylinder automobiles from the mid-1930s into the 1950s. The car was first presented in public in February 1936, although by that time production had already been under way for a couple of months. Between 1936 and 1939, and again between 1947 and 1953 it was the manufacturer's top selling automobile.
After the Second World War the W136 became the foundation on which the company rebuilt, because enough of the tooling had survived allied bombing or could be recreated.
1949 saw the arrival of the Mercedes-Benz 170S version of the W136. This model is in retrospect sometimes celebrated as the first S-Class Mercedes-Benz. It was a more luxurious, costlier and, when launched, slightly larger version of the mainstream model and the manufacturer made an effort to maximize the differentiation between the two. The Mercedes-Benz 170 Sb and 170 DS were even given a different works number in 1952, being internally designated between 1952 and 1953 as the Mercedes-Benz W191.
1955 was the car's last year of production. Its replacement, the W120 had already been on sale since July 1953, after which the older model was repositioned in the market as a lower priced alternative to the new one.
The Mercedes-Benz 170 SV and 170 SD were also built briefly in Argentina from 1952-1955 in sedan, taxi, pick-up and van versions.
