This series of digital prints reclaims shapes from established artists' works for the creation of new compositions.

I still believe there is beauty in decay. It may not always be kind or fair, but there is something peculiarly peaceful about the earth reclaiming something natural or man-made.

Footpath, walkway, pavement pedestrian area - it doesn't matter what you call them; its time we reclaimed them.

Cyclists in the UK have recently had sections added to the highway code to give them more rights on the road, so its about time they started using them.

These two wheeled masked, hooded, unregistered, uninsured, untaxed, antisocial hooligans are giving cyclists in general a bad name.

These guys are more of a menace than a "big hairy biker" in lathers and a crash helmet - at least we should have insurance, a driving licence, pay road tax and the bike has a "number plate".

In terms of the law cyclists are almost invisible. And now - electric scooters!

As you might have noticed I am not a fan of antisocial behaviour in any form.

Bole Hill Quarry was best known for producing the stone for building the Derwent and Howden dams. The area has now been reclaimed by thousands of birch trees, a complete contrast to its industrial heritage of 120 years ago.

This is my entry to RebelLUG's contest Vignweek2025 Day 6. The prompt was as the title says "Reclaimed by nature". This one took about 15h, 5h of which were used for the tree alone. It depicts part of an abandoned industrial compound that has been overrun by bushes and most notably a large tree with exposed roots growing on the roof. This concludes my entries for this year's competition which has been a lot of fun. It is the very first time I don't miss a single entry for the week and a nice way to get back after not participating at all since 2020.

Hope you'll enjoy it!

Old Illinois barn slowly being reclaimed by nature

I take Sunday as an excuse to post another cemetery shot - overgrown graves at Highgate Cemetery.

For centuries, reclaimed wood has been used to build beautiful homes, furniture, and other structures. It's a timeless material that is both aesthetically and structurally sound. Here's a snapshot of a plank from my parents' dock.

reclaim the street is a civil action where people literally reclaim the streets from the dreaded fosil fuel eating things... =)

A beautiful dawn among the sand dunes on the beach at Winterton on the Norfolk coast.

Forty years ago this gravel pit was a scar on the earth. Nature has restored it her way. It is now quite beautiful.

Kantishna, Inside Denali National Park, Alaska

This area of Prenzebierg was a mining site and barren with a very characteristic red coloured soil due to its high content in iron. It was only after the mining stopped that nature reclaimed the area. The increasing vegetation offers some beautiful contrast against the red rocks.

Attempts at reclaimed Fuji FP100-C Negatives, some were better than others, the process involved bleach. This was made with a Polaroid Land Camera 210 that I converted into a pinhole camera.
