An abandoned mill, now inhabited by a pair of redtalk hawks, lots of pigeons and who-knows-all.

I shot the photo Saturday in sunlight, with high, thin clouds. In processing my raw file with PS Elements, I added clouds from an older image, using multiply blend mode. I then used a Nik Silver Efex preset (with slight adjustment) at 43% opacity to keep some color. Finished if off with a little dodging to lighten the area around the hawk, and with a vignette for the edges. My intent was to create dark and unsettling, using my digital darkroom.

Nature takes back the landscape for itself. The abandoned buildings that litter the site at Cwmorthin crumble as they decay, becoming overgrown by the landscape around it.

Thank you for all the Buon Viaggio messages yesterday, I’m sure I will despite my winging about travel anxieties. The covid booster was a strange in and out affair yesterday. Gone was the regimental routine of my other vaccinations, about 40% weren’t wearing masks, a quick check of your name then ushered to a vaccinator, 4 or 5 questions, jab and out the door. No 10 minute recovery sit down, no card identifying the date and jab I just had, it just seemed strange to the last few times. The good news is apart from a sore arm no real side effects, but I suppose I didn’t with the last booster, it was only the initial two AstraZeneca jabs that give me some issue. Todays photo I maybe my last for a while is from my July visit to a North Yorkshire woodland. I was reminded of this photo after watching @baxter.photos latest YouTube vlog last night, if you haven’t seen it yet treat yourself, it’s a great nature/photography documentary could easily been made for the BBC.

Pra começar bem o período escolhi esse esmalte lindo de morrer que comprei no encontrinho da KK. Não tinha ideia de que ele era tão bonito *-*

O encontro foi ótimo! Fui com a Suzaninha Santos e a Karlinhazin, mas chegando lá encontrei várias meninas lindas e fofas como a Flavinháááh e a Mila Mendes. Conheci algumas outras meninas tbm, mas nao lembro o nome de todas (sorry!!!!). A KK estava atenciosa como sempre!

E os esmaltes?? Cada um mais lindo que o outro! Ainda bem que eu sou uma pessoa controlada hahahaha
