Ulster Heights, NY. This is a man made lake that has been completely transformed by the actions of beavers, turning it into a wild wetland area of bogs, marsh and water channels.

Serial number 30852 began its career with Air Canada in October 2001. It joined the fleet of Air Canada rouge LP in June 2015 and served until March 2020, when the pandemic forced it into storage. The 20-year-old was reclaimed by Air Canada in October 2021.

Its future looks bright, as it will be a freighter with Air Canada Cargo.

This is one of my older shots of this gorgeous old shipwreck that is steadily being reclaimed by the sea....reclaimed

One of my neighbors invited me to bring my camera along on a visit to his garden. Initially I found myself taking pictures of his colorful flowers and various statues. Then he said, 'Do you want to see my old shed that is falling down in the back area?' Pulling back vines and stepping carefully over fallen tree limbs, I discovered a tiny wooden shed being consumed by the vegetation. When I looked at the images on my computer, it seemed only right to make the images as faded as the building.

by Nature, that is. I had the chance to have a walk around the area known as Giele Botter in the south of Luxembourg, which for those who don't know, it used to be an open mine that ceased to be exploited back in the 90s. Now it is being claimed back by nature and it is a very special place worth visiting. Colonising silver birch species dominate the area but other tree species are beginning to populate this once desolate mining region.

A procession of people walk through a somber, Orwellian tunnel, each figure draped in the uniformity of the oppressed. To me this image hints at society’s collective plight, a population brainwashed and subdued by a dystopian regime. Yet, the glimmer of light ahead signifies a glimmer of hope..

Sony A7iii (aperture priority AF). Overall, my experimenting with AF has produced mixed results. For quick shots AF is helpful. However, when you have time to compose your shot, manual focusing is infinitely better. Anyway. I had a short talk with this lady. She was eager to leave the footpath and walk on the road in order to get to the bus stop. She finds walking very difficult, in particular managing the kerbs that frequently interrupt the footpath. Why do cars get the privilege of running on a smooth and uninterrupted surface whilst pedestrians have to climb up and down the kerbs? And off she went, on the tarmac braving the cars.

As you can see, it has now been renovated, and turned into luxury apartments.

Some long abandoned machinery slowly being reclaimed by nature. I am unsure of the exact location but it was taken inland from Stanley somewhere in the north of Tasmania.

I really liked the way Anglesea Barracks seemed to be slowly being reclaimed by nature! The only other visit i'd managed to Dinorwic on my wales trip bar the Pea Soup morning was a mid afternoon visit with my family where we walked from the slate museum up the quarryman's trail to here. They will always give me about 20mins before they start to get bored so I had to work fast. I got the classic shot and then as I was climbing down seen this. I could not get a tripod position but managed to use it more like a monopod to get this. Something a bit different I was pleased with.
