In the next 8 photos, we finally return to the story of Don, Whitney, Emily and Elizabeth visiting Room 1.
To catch up in detail, you can find the photo album with the photos in chronological order here: www.flickr.com/photos/bogostick/albums/72157716346684407
To recap: When we last saw Don in part 3, he had fallen ill from a very cold night on Timothy’s floor. Emily wasn’t faring much better as she hadn’t prepared for the harsh weather change either.
Whitney has been staying at Penny’s apartment, where she learned before everyone that Boolster’s Brew had folded without its owner around to operate it, and that Booley’s wife Maddy, who had been on the run for several months, was apparently back in Room 1.
Elizabeth, meanwhile, was oblivious to all this information.
Instead, she was enjoying a much needed break away from caring for Booley and Rat’s children, her own daughter Tulley, goats, and multiple house pets.
That bliss was about to evaporate…
I realised I've been looking close at trivial and often overlooked detail - not sure what this says about me (I also love the Big Picture, that's why I bought a fisheye lens :) But detail is definitely better for mosaics and collages than wide landscapes :)

2023 was my most active year in a long time. I nearly averaged one post a month! Its still not as many things as I'd have liked to have built, but its a step forward compared to the previous few years. Its been a long time since I did one of these year recap posts, because its been a long time since I posted more than 4 or 5 things in a year.
It was also a very bionicle-heavy year for me, and most of the Lego I bought this year was as well. I dont know whether this will continue. I do want to build more system anime figures, but I also want to move away from what I would call "fan product design" (I guess I only did one of those this year)
Oh yeah, this also doesnt include the bionicle mask resin-casting I did, I guess I never posted any of that here. That's all on my second instagram account, @magma_resin_casting

Mother's Day sewing means a new Ruby for Mom, too! (How cute is she?) Blogged in a big ol' round up here: howikopp.blogspot.com/2014/05/me-made-may-2014-week-3-rec...
The observation platform on top of the Monument to the Great Fire of London was an anxiety-provoking experience for me, but it also provided great views as a photographer, so...gotta do what you gotta do in the name of bringing home great pictures.

'Backburners' concept paid homage to the iconic denim backpatch that was popularised during the formative 1970s in New York.

Ever since the first trailer dropped for The Mandalorian, I, like many like-minded, jaded, burned out 40-somethings, couldn’t wait for this show to start. I hoped it would be better than what the Skywalker Trilogy offered. I was not disappointed.
Major spoilers below, obviously....

Some highlights:
-Celebrating my birthday surrounded by friends, family, and tons of LEGO.
-Running the ridiculous Brick Battles for the first time with LEGO fans, and the triumphant return of the puppy catapult.
-Some of the smoothest drafts I've ever run. Some serious skills in all my drafters this time.
-Playing tape ball, even though I only got it for a few seconds at a time.
-Winning first place in Screen Scenes and Honorable Mention in the Batman and Collectible Minifig Vignette categories for my creations. More importantly, I got to take home these great trophies.
-Monday's inaugural Brick Day at Disneyland, including a special visit to Trader Sam's and the LEGO Store.
BFVA was amazing. It was my first year going and I had so much fun showing off Pegasus Bridge and talking to other lego fans.
It was fun meeting people, but I am not going to list them because of there being so many and I don't want to forget people.
Overall BFVA was fun and I hope I can go back next year:D
Thanks to all my new friends that made this event extremely fun:D
Thanks- Rob
aka day 13, 14, 15, & 16.
twas a lovely handful of days i barely remembered.
day 13: (top left) i had thee most glorious amt of sleep. 16 hours to be exact. dont remember much of it at all, just that my boys, Ein & Loki were there to watch over mommy while she ached in bed. (albe had to capture this one for me when he came back from NYC)
day 14: stay puft. yea. i was a little confused on this one. i drank heavily on sunday and tuesday nite and both resulted in hungover goodness, but i iced in the mornings and was good to go later in the evening. however, friday evening came around and i was STILL like this. wth??? i dunno what i ate...berries make my tongue (maybe even lips?) swell. it wasn't fun that nite, but good ol tylenol pm came to my rescue :) not like i really needed it, but i was achy and i wanted to sleep well, so yeah! (another one take by albe...)
day 15: so yeah this is what my throat looked like after 4 days. the tonsil swelling was going down, but still a nuisance. all i wanted to do was more resting sort of thingies. psoriasis came back. ugh its such a balancing act with freakin enbrel. either i take it and it compromises my immunity so that i have like NONE, or i stop (since im sick from not having an immunity!!!!) and my skin reverts back to CRAP! ugh. i love/hate u enbrel. but WAIT there's more! albe insisted on going to a "quick" dinner with our cousins (and honestly i wanted to go too...) so yeah did that, then went home, took my tylenol pm and went straight to bed. :)
day 16: why why why why why why why did i teach ein to bark whenever the celly/alarm goes off?! but, on the upside i was so happy that he got it right! and well, the down was me being up at 7am. ugh. stupid ppl, who the hell calls me at 7am?! then i look and it wasn't for me, but for the DH once again. stupid time ones...ugh. sharing phones can get tricky at times. anywho, i didn't let that stop me from my destiny. more sleep. i woke up again later that afternoon....plopped down on the couch..paid bills...doodled, worked on the pc for a bit...blah...sat back on the couch and uh yeah, fell asleep. so yeah. that was my week. fun right? how was yours?? ok BACK TO SLEEP! SMOOOOOOOOOOCHES!
