I recently realized it was possible to connect an espresso plate 32828 to a bar with prongs 68211 through its Ø1,5mm hole, and thought it would be a good starting point to build a tree.

Only four different elements are required, so it's a quite simple design, but the end result looks pretty good and natural in my opinion. However it's a tad fragile as it's based on a delicate way of attaching the parts so you have to be careful when you build it.

I used tan elements for the trunk and branches but reddish brown and black can be used as well.

I have finally finished making some instructions for my latest MOC, a NES and TV. You can get the instructions here: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-80942/TheGecko7/nes-and-tv/#details

Thanks!

Credit to Lautinus for the katanas; the blades create a nice curve that is otherwise hard to achieve at such a small scale. I suppose that katanas are also appropriate since one of the SR-71’s other nicknames, “Habu”, was coined by Japanese civilians who thought that the aircraft resembled a species of snake native to Okinawa. A-12s, and later SR-71s, were based on the island from 1968 to 1990.

Never built anything LotR before but when I saw the Tolkien category of the CCC it did seem like a good chance to build a scene that's always appealed to me: Smaug on the treasure heap!

I was super happy with the way this dragon turned out, he is so much fun to play with. Pictures never really do justice to LEGO dragons IMO, but for what it's worth there are several more pictures and poses on Bricksafe.

Also lit the base under the treasure--which kinda made my life complicated when it came to getting a picture so thanks to my bro Isaiah (Garmadon) for lending me his camera and helping out with the settings.

Got a few more CCC entries to post but the end of the year collage is coming, I promise! ;)

After many years of struggle against the elements and people full of envy, Captain Redbeard decided to settle down in Pirate Lagoon. He bought a cozy blue tenement house, located right next to the port authority building.

This ship is bio-tech ship made by the Yuuzhan Vong. Mainly used during the Yuuzhan Vong War/Invasion (New Jedi Order era) these living ships would be crewed by a single pilot using a hood to share minds with the creature/ship. It eats rocks and spits magma-like projectiles. It was propelled and shielded by a small heart-like Dovin basal.

Built Originally for Lego's 90th anniversary Bionicle contest, altho the design started way earlier.

www.instagram.com/p/Cgg4MnOt0jQ/

Echoes from the time before time. The prophecy of the six heroes is born anew. A breath of fresh air blows through the jungles of Mata Nui.

Built from approximately 80% Lego system, 15% Technic, and using the original Bionicle head piece and mask, the Kanohi Miru, totalling 363 parts.

Increased limb articulation, with shoulders, knees and elbows. With slight mobility for the waist. The gearbox function has been faithfully recreated with increased friction.

Quality renders achieved with Blender, built in stud.io using only pre-existing parts and colors. Build has been tested for viability using a real-life model.

(I will answer questions regarding possible instructions after the contest is over).

The prophecy of the six is not complete alone...

My finalized first attempt at a BARC Speeder.

Building instructions are available here! Check out for more details!

It's been a while since the WIP pic of this speeder along with my, still WIP, AT-RT v3, but here we are. I'm quite happy with this final design (for now).

It is a mere hair (literally. it's like less than 1/8 a plate.) away from perfect 1:35th scale in length and height. The engines are technically slighty wider than they should be, but given a minifig is equally wider than it should be in proportion to its height, I think this is totally acceptable.

I will try to eventually acquire the necessary pieces for a dark red/white version, like the digital recolor seen in the instructions post, and build said accurate colored version phyically as well. Not a priority investment for me right now though, so this may take a while.

If you like this MOC and want to build it yourself, consider getting your hands on some instructions (supports the grind).

I made this little chibi-version of Hollow Knight a few years ago after my first playthrough of the game.

At the time, I had posted the model on Rebrickable and it was promptly stolen by a non-scrupulous chinese company that started selling it on some site (not going too post it here!).

I have no idea if the set was ever successful or not (maybe they sold millions of it!) but I decided to take it all as a compliment rather than being mad about something I could not do anything about.

Anyway, long story short - to celebrate the release of Silksong, I decided to revamp the model a little by adding a few new pieces and also I made new more polished building instructions... which are now available FOR FREE on Rebrickable.

It has been exactly a year and one day since my last Lego post, so coming back into it with a tribute to one of my favorite pieces of musical gear.

The Moog Sub Phatty is a monophonic (1-voice) analog synthesizer capable of some pretty fat, sub sounds. Has a 25-key keyboard and 31 knobs for shaping the overall sound. The big knob in the model controls the low-pass filter, which gives most Moog synthesizers their famous signature sound.
