Last addition to this group before Bricks LA starts. For good two years or more I have been wanting to build a properly colored C-3PO. So building like the Alderaan depends on it, I have managed to come up with this golden C-3PO. I am sure I'll tinker more on him in the future, but time is ticking and Bricks LA is literally right around the corner.

If you are going to Bricks LA , I look forward to seeing you. I am this guy.

3: Queen’s Resort is a beautiful place, not one I can associate with my haunting suspicions. I spent two unforgettable weeks there, watching the sun rise and set over the islands, enveloping the world in warm mist. But there seemed to be nothing to uncover. I’ll have to go farther back if I really want answers.

I'm still asking myself why I built this. XD It definitely turned out a bit different than in my head, as I was planning on doing a gothic hotel building, but I couldn't find the right colors for that, so I went with tudor instead. The infinity pool was super fun and so were the steampunk minifigures.

Borrowed some of my brother's new blue strip lights from Lightailing for the edges of the pool. It looks fabulous in person.

My first #Frogust build looked a little glum, so I made it a friend. Now they can be glum together!

Instructions available on Rebrickable

I decided to rebuild this awhile ago and made instructions as well. It took almost a year on and off to get it finished and to my liking, so I hope you enjoy it as well! It includes a detailed interior with stove, range hood, prep area, soda fountain, and a small refrigerator. The roof lifts off for easy access. I wanted to add a fun sign for Moe to attract customers, and what better than a giant pair of bacon/egg? I added the chrome, white tires, and lighting in the render and they aren't part of the instructions.

"Look, Mr. Bubbles! An angel!"

Instructions Available for my BioShock Big Daddy build.

Big Daddies are genetically enhanced humans who have been grafted into an armored diving suit. Their primary purpose is to protect the Little Sisters, who affectionately call them Mr. Bubbles or Mr. B.

I've wanted to design and build a minifigure scale Big Daddy for years, but never really took on the challenge. I've never seen a LEGO version with the correct number of eyes, so I was very happy to be able to get all eight eyes into this build without making it larger than it should be.

The Big Daddy has poseable arms and legs and is 102 pieces. You can pick up step by step instructions and the parts list off of my Redbrickable page. (Link at the top of the description.)

INSTRUCTIONS

Every respected master mage has, at one time or another, spent hours studying dusty old grimoires in an attempt to decode the spells. This is not an easy task. Not only is it long and tedious, but it is also not something that everyone can do, and it is for sure a limiting factor in becoming a well-known mage.

The solution is quite simple: to become one of these grimoires and gain all the knowledge directly, without having to study or suffer from memory lapses in the middle of battle.

Ever since I had finished building the Book Mage for Book Mage contest, I knew I had to do a proper version of it because it was made using 101 parts.

As I'm going to the convention Fanabriques this October and I couldn't pass the opportunity to redesign it, make it stable, stronger and good looking from the back

And as I got many requests for instructions, I decided to design the instructions along with some personalization.

The instructions for this Book Mage are on Rebrickable costing 3,5€ as it took more than 100h of designing, shooting, editing and writing. It contains 188 parts for a price of around €15 in parts.

INSTRUCTIONS

Other than that, I feel this one looks so much better than the "old" one. To be completely honest, now that I see the old one, it looks kinda bad and the proportions aren't good.

It's my first time making instructions for Rebrickable and seeing the time it takes, I certainly won't publish a lot more instructions in the future, I'll concentrate on making mocs. Don't get me wrong, it was very fun to do.

Hope you like it :)

The book, not the book mage, is inspirated by @naolito on Instagram

You\'ll notice that the wheel covers were initially the same as the classic Darjeeling Barracuda, but I loved Leo1_Lego's idea of using the Aston Martin DB5 wheel covers so much that I decided to steal it. :p

So, next airplane, this may is some kind of experiment... My aim was to create something not so smooth this time. And finally, I ended up with some kind of cyberpunk airplane. I definitely broke my rules in some points... but I hope you like it anyway.

You will find some more pics of it in my stream/profile 😊

As I celebrate launch of my first LEGO Ideas set, 21340 Tales of the Space Age, I'd like to share with you three more pictures in the series I've built. They are closer in style to my original submission, but uses a dedicated hanger on the same height as pictures in the final set. I hope you enjoy these models as well as the previous ones.

For BioniLUG's leaf (3565/7096/5058) seed part build challenge.

Main hero ship from the anime Oban Star Racers. Featured here gliding across the beach of Alwas en route to the finish line.

The original design is made by IronHonour on Reddit and Rebrickable. I have reworked parts of the inner structure for stability purposes, as the original model works best as a static moc on a Technic frame. It does feature opening flaps and airbrakes, but at the moment I have not stiffened them enough to my liking to feature them all in a scene like this.

It took me approximately 4 months to source parts for the ship and the minifigures from my last post. All-in-all, a very expensive build but a fantastically fun one at that!

Everyone told me

Not to stroll on that beach,

Said, "Seagulls gonna come,

Poke me in the coconut, " and they did, and they did.

For the sake of completeness, here's my full lineup of Tales of the Space Age. I don't think there will be more in a foreseeable future - I'm very happy with the seven pictures as is and enjoy having them on the wall of my home office.

And just in case you'd like to build some of them, 21340 Tales of the Space Age is still available in LEGO S@H. For the additional ones, you can get the instructions from my Rebrickable page: rebrickable.com/users/john.carter/mocs/

While working on more complex models, in the breaks I relax by building miniature interiors. I'm still

fascinated by the old-fashioned style! This one was particularly inspired by a great CG artist; Jose

Hope you enjoy!

Never built anything LotR before but when I saw the Tolkien category of the CCC it did seem like a good chance to build a scene that's always appealed to me: Smaug on the treasure heap!

I was super happy with the way this dragon turned out, he is so much fun to play with. Pictures never really do justice to LEGO dragons IMO, but for what it's worth there are several more pictures and poses on Bricksafe.

Also lit the base under the treasure--which kinda made my life complicated when it came to getting a picture so thanks to my bro Isaiah (Garmadon) for lending me his camera and helping out with the settings.

Got a few more CCC entries to post but the end of the year collage is coming, I promise! ;)

I recently realized it was possible to connect an espresso plate 32828 to a bar with prongs 68211 through its Ø1,5mm hole, and thought it would be a good starting point to build a tree.

Only four different elements are required, so it's a quite simple design, but the end result looks pretty good and natural in my opinion. However it's a tad fragile as it's based on a delicate way of attaching the parts so you have to be careful when you build it.

I used tan elements for the trunk and branches but reddish brown and black can be used as well.

Followed my own instructions to finally build my all time favourite MOC with real bricks again ❤️

Credit to Lautinus for the katanas; the blades create a nice curve that is otherwise hard to achieve at such a small scale. I suppose that katanas are also appropriate since one of the SR-71’s other nicknames, “Habu”, was coined by Japanese civilians who thought that the aircraft resembled a species of snake native to Okinawa. A-12s, and later SR-71s, were based on the island from 1968 to 1990.

After many years of struggle against the elements and people full of envy, Captain Redbeard decided to settle down in Pirate Lagoon. He bought a cozy blue tenement house, located right next to the port authority building.
