Rock Raiders: Rebirth
Finally added the finishing touches to this figbarf. If you guessed it was Rock Raiders, bravo to you.
I took a bit of a different route with the original set theme and added alien characters instead of the team being all human.
The idea of a more diverse group of explorers just seemed more fitting. As with other themes it's always been a 'Human Vs aliens' idea. But themes like life on Mars showed a more interesting and harmonious dynamic. It also gave me more freedom when designing the minifigures.
The overall look is rather gritty and punk like. Keeping some of the original colour schemes added a nice bit of vibrance.
I also to a leaf out of Brickstudios' book by creating some props and objects and also experimenting with classic minifigure faces for the human characters.
My parents and I went to the beach for an impromptu photoshoot on Sunday, and the storm clouds and waves were incredible! I got about 15 minutes of shooting in before lightning started coming down and we ran off.
This is also the first self-portrait uploaded since I chopped mah hair off haha.

Una parte di queste sono state recuperate da Michelangelo Pistoletto, grande artista biellese ed esponente dell'arte povera, che ne ha fatto una città dell'arte, molto interessante da visitare. State Rail of Thailand has been investing in train tourism in a big way. On the left is a refurbished KiHa-183 train built in the 1980s for Japan Rail Hokkaido. Seventeen of these were donated to SRT by JR Hokkaido in 2021 (SRT only had to cover shipping cost) and now offer tourist day trips out of Hua Lamphong in Bangkok (thaitrainguide.com).
Next to it is the Royal Blossom, now a luxury tourist train that undertook its first Thai journey in 2024. It comprises refurbished Hamanasu Express cars purchased by SRT from JR Hokkaido in 2017 (thaitrainguide.com).

Beyond happy to have an image of her on my stream <3. This was taken at the abandoned factory that we got to visit twice while in Indiana. It was 4 or 5 stories tall and just had so many interesting rooms and details. I wish I could go there all the time.
I can't remember who was helping with the smoke bombs as there were so many people shooting and interacting with this shoot, but thank you <3!

Trees and grass were burned down and new shoots rebirth and it will grow in this gorgeous temperature.
I just got home from completing my first year at Savannah College of Art and Design ( SCAD ). Wow. I am so tried. It was so much work but so rewarding. I took two photo classes already and I am so pleased with my decision to go there. I know it's been far too long since I have uploaded last. I have so many ideas for photos this summer and also a lot of time!

After a devastating forest fire in Waterton Park last summer, the wildflowers are growing again...new life from old. The burned trees in the background contrast so strongly with the colourful flowers and the beauty was still awe inspiring.

I've actually been working on August for a while, but I only finished him yesterday. Also an entry to Harrison Hill's contest, because I have a habit of entering things on the last day :P
I've seen a few Godspeed customs, but inexplicably, no one has made August Heart yet. Why?! He has the coolest speedster costume ever!
Anyhow. I made August's goggles, lightning bolts, jacket bottom, and shoes with e-tape.
For Godspeed, I used e-tape to cover the mouth on a Taskmaster head, and for his chest lightning and lines.
I wanted to make Meena, too, but I'm having a lot of trouble with her, so I didn't include her here. I hope to complete her in the future, though!
