Taken on my 1981 Olympus OM-2 using Kodak Gold 100 film, expired in July 2004. This shot was taken 20 years later, in July 2024. Negative scanned and image edited (dust removal) by me.
Looking back before takeoff. I'm in the cockpit of my GP30 and an SD45 trails. Well, I can at least pretend it's still an SD45. Ahh, 20, 16 cylinders, what's the difference? Indiana Northeastern Railroad, north of Fremont, Indiana.
Another NYC image inspired by what I learned from my time with Leanne Staples, a wonderful and talented NYC street photographer. Leanne was shooting reflections a lot, so I started to copy. This is a shot I took of reflections from a Cadillac SUV! Those letters in the bottom right hand corner, are from the New York license plate. You see the building reflection in the back window, the chrome strip leading to the lower back gate with the street scene with the taxi cab reflection. This image reminds me of when I would be a young boy fascinated by things I would see from reflections. When I was little I saw things from a much lower height and this was the advantage I was discovering as I was shooting, without looking through my viewfinder with my Leica, at waist level.
