Several other associations as well when I see this wonderful male bird of the California quail. For instance the great Gatsby, with the fashion of the 30ties, and the women wearing head bands with feathers. A beauty of a bird, shot in Mondo Verde Landgraaf.

"You can't appreciate the miracle of the sunrise unless you've waited in the darkness."
I want to dedicate this sunrise to my Flickr buddy cage_ee. Thank for the wise words and I hope you enjoy the view.
I took this shot last week when I was headed to Kingsbury for the Air Fair and should have pulled off of the freeway much earlier, but it is what it is. I continued to watch my rearview mirror as this one unfolded, but couldn’t find an exit quick enough and a place to stop and enjoy the view. Taken somewhere between Houston and San Antonio.

Dan Quinn
Trying to grasp a bit of truth about ourselves by gazing in the mirror is futile; mirrors separate the real world from a deceiving world that lures the mind, concealing the truth behind a blur of the reflected immutable past that makes it seem better or worse, but which is utterly not genuine.
