Leave me in your car alone and im checking out your rear view. :)

Tomioka Tominon 5cm f/2

Looking back in life...some things are beautiful and rosy and some can be dark and distant.

Sunflowers sure do have a lot of character. This guy is brimming with frontal sunlight and surely has a handsome backside too !

Rearview Mirror

Pearl Jam

I seem to look away

Wounds in the mirror waved

It wasn't my surface most defiled

Head at your feet fool to your crown

Fist on my plate, swallowed it down

Enmity gauged, united by fear

Tried to endure what I could not forgive

Saw things

Clearer

Once you, were in my...Rearview mirror...

Went to Cape Solander this morning with Focus Australia. Not a cloud in the sky, but the colours in the sky and on the cliff face from the rising sun behind me was spectacular. In this shot, I haven't touched the colour in PS...no vibrance / saturation or colour change. The cliff face lit up like a fire this morning. Looking away from the rising sun was the inspiration for the title of the shot Rearview Mirror.

This is an 8 shot stitch

Just updated this ...The light on the original shot was too intense in my opinion. So....this is the first time since I've started taking Landscape and Seascape shots that I've actually de-saturated a shot straight out of the camera....

Time to move on from the vintage stuff and landscapes.

Gone for a few weeks. Thanks to those who look.

I didn't particularly like this shot when I took it back in 2012, but now I think it has something to it. I don't know? Either way I was just playing around with one of the rearview mirrors in Bergius Botanical Garden in Stockholm.

View of rally car from rearview mirror in between stages at a rally event.

Hanging a good three feet out the passenger window is exciting. Bugs in your hair, and the constant fear of getting smacked in the back of the head by a sign.

So worth it.

my Flickr friends! You make my day every day!

Stuck in traffic with a fabulous sunset fading in the distance. I was not moving as I picked up my little camera to get the shot. Its really the side mirror but it is looking to the west.

While your here click on my slideshow of some of my great California beach images set great classical guitar music. youtu.be/NqlvPk5Ze0Q

Enjoy your day.

This mural has appeared on two other posts from visits in Oct and Dec 2024. This is the first time no cars were parked in front. A street festival was setting up and the cars were cleared. I considered removing the orange cones and cropping in to make it appear the image was created from the backseat of the vehicle. Another time, perhaps.

Many people changed their rear view mirror charms for a protective mask in pandemic times – not all, though, and some put their masks elsewhere in close reach. See what I found on a short walk.

Photographing Irene while driving. Probably a bad idea.

I haven't come up with a good reflection idea for this week's theme... then saw this beautiful rainbow while driving. I safely pulled over to snap this... Still hoping for a "real" photo idea...

Just caught a rainbow between squalls
