You know you are a big contender on the political scene when you roll deep in an Alto. As I've mentioned before, Japanese law limits the number of citizens you can simultaneously campaign to, so politicians often drive around or stand on street corners making campaign promises.
Information on buildings and architecture
Führungen am Campus WU
University of the Future
Internationalism, innovation, diversity – the new Campus WU is the concrete realization of WU’s vision for a modern university. The fundamental principles of the new architecture reflect the values and ideas we cherish at WU.
As a public institution, WU has lived up to its responsibility of building its new campus in an economical, ecological, and socially sustainable manner. WU’s decision to locate the new campus in Vienna’s second district will redefine this area and transform it into an educational hub. We have not only constructed new buildings, but in the process we have also given concrete realization to our ideas of what the university of the future should look like. The new campus is more than just a place for academic research and teaching and learning practical skills; it is also designed to create a new space for social, cultural, and political life.
The imposing Library & Learning Center (LC), designed by the Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, is a testament to the central importance of research and teaching at WU. The Library & Learning Center is surrounded by five building complexes, including the Teaching Center, which houses most of WU’s auditoriums. The Teaching Center is intended mainly for bachelor degree students, while the master degree programs are taught primarily in the individual Department buildings. The Executive Academy building is the home of continuing education and life-long learning programs. In this way, the various buildings and their functions reflect the three tiers of teaching and learning represented by the Bologna Process.
WU’s Department-based organizational structure was also a contributing factor. In the past, the various Institutes that make up the Departments were scattered across different locations. Now they have been brought together in four Department buildings, which will make life much easier for both students and faculty.
These are not the only improvements the new campus has to offer: All rooms have natural light, and the auditoriums feature state-of-the-art teaching equipment, including digital whiteboards. There are 3,000 student workplaces, three times as many as in the old buildings in Vienna’s ninth district. These workplaces are located not only in the dedicated self-study areas, but also in project rooms that can be booked by teaching staff and students alike. They cater to different needs by providing quiet spots for focused academic work as well as opportunities for work on group projects in communicationfriendly study areas.
The top priority in planning the new campus was to create an environment for WU students and staff that is conducive to productive work and communication.
Not only the buildings themselves, but also the surrounding grounds offer plenty of opportunities for communication and meeting people. 55,000 m² of Campus WU’s total 100,000 m² of floor and surface area is open, publicly accessible space. Fences or barriers would contradict our vision of an open campus.
Visitors and area residents are more than welcome at Campus WU. The campus offers not only food for thought, but also restaurants, cafés, and shops, all in a stimulating architectural environment.
As different as they may look, however, the buildings are all based on the same overall technical concept: the building infrastructure is standardized in terms of construction, energy supply, ventilation, and sanitary facilities. The entire campus has been designed in accordance with “green building” principles. Much of the required energy is obtained using geothermal energy from groundwater.
Another key feature of Campus WU is barrier-free accessibility. All auditoriums are specially equipped for people with disabilities, all areas are designed to be wheelchair accessible, and the campus also features a tactile guidance system for the visually impaired.
We have not only made sure to comply with all relevant legal guidelines, but we have also drawn on experience gained from best practice examples. WU aims to play a pioneering role – in all respects.
I believe one of the good things about winter is the realization that it eventually unfolds into the warmth and newness of spring... and yet there are other things. Spring is the promise of winter... apples, peaches, and other crops will not fruit properly without exposure to so many hours of freezing weather. Did you know that water expands when it is both frozen and heated? Winter freezes ground water and breaks up the soil. A snowpack forces more nitrogen into soil than most any other way... just one of the ways God tends his garden of spring wildflowers. Winter often assures the things we look forward to in spring... and gives us the contrast to appreciate them.
For many here on Flickr, each day into winter leaves a longing... and it shows, as I'm beginning to see many images of flowers, blooms, and flourishing color rising from sleepy woods in the hope that winter will just move along. I suppose mine is no different here with these Bradford pear buds. One bud (actually only a 1/4 inch in diameter) shows the inner beauty of colorful anthers and stigma just appearing. As is the way with flowers, this "inner beauty" will soon be overshadowed as the petals emerge... nature's version of a spring bonnet. Come to think of it, that's often the way of people, too. Are our "spring bonnets" what bring a springlike refreshing within ourselves? "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment. . . . Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight" (1 Peter 3:3-4).
Newness isn't always a good thing... Vicki, a dear friend from church in Cedar Grove, was recently diagnosed with aplastic thyroid cancer. The prognosis is not good. She's in much pain from radiation therapy, can't swallow, and is having bad reactions to medication. Today, she had a feeding tube inserted. Ironically, Vicki is the leader of our Relay For Life team. At our first fundraiser of 2012, a country ham and egg breakfast, Vicki was weak, but she was still on her game... to the point that nearly $5000 dollars was raised for the American Cancer Society that morning. You wouldn't believe the effort that goes into feeding hundreds of people within the span of a few hours... it requires team effort, and no one brings a team together quite like she does... though daughter Paula's coming along just fine. Love you, Vicki! Thank you for the "inner beauty" that shines within you. Please remember her and her family in your prayers! "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them" (Matthew 18:20).

Self-realization or Awakening is the end of the mind; it is the end of all knowledge. In here, we start to unlearn and to assume our Real Nature, our True Nature. It is the end of that illusory mind, with all its productions. It is the end of all beliefs, opinions, judgments and conditioning. ~M. It was a realization that taking pictures during military parade is very challenging. I was right there looking at the participants while marching in front of me, I was holding my camera, and was hesitant whether to shoot or just watch. What so challenging about shooting participants when you just have to aim the camera to the participants? That was the question I repeatedly asked myself, while other photographers fire away I was there just holding the camera, I can see these people who are taking pictures enjoying, but not me, I was contemplating.
I was brainstorming with myself, what is there to shoot aside from marching bands? men in uniform and their wooden rifles? beautiful majorettes (Mariners rocks) and long legged sponsors? Those are the only available subjects that I thought of or probably I was not creative enough to think of something else, the latter is more possible than the former.
I also took pictures of the participants but believe me its completely the same with the pictures taken by other photographers. So here, I was trying to be different, yes, I still shot legs but they were not in parade, I think they were in pain wearing those flashy boots, I felt that their feet were already numb when they walked towards their station just wearing their socks without realizing that the pavement was extremely hot due to the weather.
I'll post some default shots later. :-)
I studied abroad in Capetown, South Africa and took a class on post-apartheid South Africa. I was able to get the most eye-opening stories and experiences from random cab drivers, restaurant owners and strangers during my day to day in Capetown. I learned despite the burden and struggle a country and its people can go through, humans constantly seek to share and connect with each other.
That made me smile.
I just came to the realization that skiing is just not my thing. Some people may be experts. I am not one of them. I wish, but I don't think I will.
Just the thought of having two uncontrollable long sticks attached to my legs is scary. Maybe Snowboarding. I should try that on my next trip there.
But I would love to learn cross country skiing - if only to get to Glacier Point and witness a sunset.
So that is why when I went to Badger Pass when it opened for the season right after fresh snowfall, I opted not to ski and instead went around shooting photographs. Not only was I trying to shoot some amazing cloud formations, I was looking keenly at the groomed tracks of the snowcat and patterns left by skiers above.
I loved the swishy patterns formed by skiers on a rather steep slope and was changing my lens to shoot it when a group of skiers crossed the path leading to other unwanted trails.
So I did the best I could

What is Self-realization (Atma-sakshatkar)? It is to know 'who am I?' Are you the name given to you? No, you are a Pure Soul.
Self-realization is to be aware of the Soul. Such a state of awareness will be a gradual development. No suffering / negativity would touch you when you are totally aware of the Soul. Atma-sakshatkar is to keep observing the non-self part, the mind-body-speech-intellect, and observe what they are doing. Watch this video to find out more about what 'Atma-sakshatkar' is exactly.

Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, Arizona. 2 action sampler photos taken 1 right after the other while on an electric walkway. I love airports.
The walkways going to the main parts of the airport had the silver metal diagrams of different planes on the windows that looked over the runways. The black lines from the first photo are from those metal planes. I thought it was a really cool way of decorating =)
meaning is sometimes hard to spot
it begins with the flickering of cigarettes, in the darkness of a dorm room, somewhere in the suffocated mid-west
and if this is real then i was mistaken, and if there is truth then why can't we find it?
beauty comes to those who have been waiting for something bigger than themselves
this is the sound of the hopeless kids as they scream from the basements of the houses of their parents
and this is the sound of the hopeless ones as they stare down at their books
and realize they have been lied to
but if this is real then I was mistaken, and the vision fades as quickly as it came
consistency like that which I have craved, is that people change so unexpectedly
realization finds you in a drunken airport, some planes depart and others never arrived
so with this in mind I don't plan on waiting, if its time to leave and break these old ties
without something else this vision is fading, but until its gone the pain will make us try
but this is the hope I have been searching for
as the wings catch the sunlight of this cold Nebraska skyline
this is the dream I am dying in
I will wake to find tomorrow, be content without perfection
but if this is real then I was mistaken, and if the vision is gone then I was not aware
He has plenty of points of articulation: ball-jointed neck, shoulders, wrists, thighs and ankles; additional joints on the elbows, waist and knees.
He comes with several hand attachments that connect on the ball-joint so he can switch between his blaster and katana.
In this video, Pujya Deepakbhai describes about His self-realization experiences. He took Gnan from Dada Bhagwan in the year 1971 and experienced inner bliss. Slowly He got to understand this spiritual science and the reality of this universe. He began to understand what is pure Soul, what are other elements, mind, intellect, ego and how are the anger, pride, greed and deceit, etc. working and felt separation from His body or the relative Self. While studying also, He felt that His inner awareness is completely separate from what was going on the outside like studies, business etc. Even though the ego had suffering at times, but He could stay separate from the ego as well. This is a non-contradictory science. With even a single wrong belief we will not get the exact result. By studying Dada's literature His understanding of this science is very clear and is in His experience with the grace of Dada Bhagwan. He can very well experience separation from any anger, pride, deceit, greed that may arise.

on realization and time
we concluded part 3 by comprehending that any primitive alter-universe has an ‘elementary moment’ - a pattern which governs how its constituent differentials extend and understand each other.
we also comprehended that at the ‘moment of realization’, each is real as the auto-understanding of the other.
in other words, by being constitutionally nothing but a differential extending of the other, each realizes its own exteriority as a spacing from the other. in this way each understands space.
our task is now to show how the constituent differentials understand time - as progressive reiterations of the moment of realization - as moments of presence.
saturday 21st february 2015
elementary moment:
the pattern of differential extending of an alter-universe.
(graphic)
moment of realization:
the differentials realize their pattern, becoming spatially real for each other.
(graphic)
first moment of presence:
(auto-reiteration of the moment of realization)
the beginning of time for a spatial alter-universe,
for which each presents itself for the first moment of time
to the other as the other
but - so
each differential auto-understands as a spatiality-with the other (by extending constitutionally as the other) but pure singleness extends instantaneously, so the other which the one is spatially real as, is already spatially real as its ownmost other ...which is the one.
in other words, for a moment of presence in a violet-red, two-fold alter-universe, violet is real as that which red is already real as - which is violet. (and the same is true for red-violet) this is what we mean by the instantaneous symmetrical entanglement of pure singleness; and although a moment of time seems to pass for red and violet as an accumulative alternation of their spatial realities, this moment is only how each understands and realizes the presence of the other
pure singleness does not extend spatio-temporally, and is not effected. hence their entanglement extends into itself instantaneously.

second present:
but (real as violet) is already (real as (real as red)) so (real as (real as violet)) is presently (real as (real as (real as red)))
but (real as red) is already (real as (real as violet)) so (real as (real as red)) is presently (real as (real as (real as violet)))
third present:
but (real as (real as red)) is already (real as (real as (real as violet))) so (real as(real as (real as red)) is presently (real as(real as (real as (real as violet)))
but (real as(real as violet))
is already (real as(real as (real as red)))so (real as (real as (real as violet))) is presently (real as(real as (real as (real as red)))
to abbreviate the rest…
fourth present:
but (((violet))) is already ((((red)))) so ((((violet)))) is presently (((((red)))))
but (((red))) is already ((((violet)))) so ((((red)))) is presently (((((violet)))))
fifth present:
but ((((red)))) is already (((((violet))))) so (((((red))))) is presently ((((((violet))))))

CAMPUS - Prof. Han Slawik Architect
Principles for the realization of the temporary project 'Campus' - with a life of 5 years - were:
· Mont table> removable> remo table
· Use of containers
· Use of industrially manufactured products
· Reuse of building elements
· Experiments in function space and construction
Reflected these essential ideas in the realized object:
· Building elements are fully equipped with demountable connections
· Modular design with seven shipping containers 20 ft (6 m)
· Standard products: concrete slabs (Stelcon) for foundation, kasgevelsysteem for the greenhouse-like gap
· Formwork girders as supports between the containers, scrap wood floors
· Dealing with limited dimensions of containers, Space spiral staircase with a crooked pole
Experiences with the use of the object:
· Mounted vertically containers give additional problems in connections and seals
· Second components are labor intensive and maintenance
De Realiteit, Almere NL - On the south bank of the Noorderplassen in Almere is situated “De Realiteit” (The Reality). An unusual name for a street. Seventeen winning designs of the Second Competition of “De Fantasie” (The Fantasy) were built here in 1986. A year earlier the foundation organized "Fantasy" a design entitled "Temporary Housing". The prizes consisted of land, plots of approximately 20x20 m, where the winners, 17 could realize their ideas. By their nature offered the opportunity to contest the freest design, especially as the building codes did not have to be observed. Concepts such as removable, repositionable, limited life were central. The decommissioning of the building regulations meant that the awarded works were to be considered temporary. The participants knew in advance that the normal funding, namely the mortgage, was not available because of the transitory character. Nevertheless today (after 27 years) the houses are still present and inhabited and most are in good condition.

BAISHAKH REMAINS INTERMINGLED
IN THE HEART OF THE BENGALIS
\Lion Md. Gani Miah Babul\
First Baishakh, Bengali New year, end of the Chaitra, beginning of Baikshakh. The festival which is started with Baishakh is the own culture of the Bengalis. First day of the new year of the Bengali. For the benefit of realization of the rent of the crops Moghal emperor Akbar started the counting of the Bengali new year during his reign. From that time started the hailing of the Bengali new year. It is the memory of uniting of the people of all communities by forgetting the difference of religion, caste. With the passage of time Bengali new year has become the biggest popular festival in the life of the Bengali people now. Bengali people wait for this day with very much eagerness during the whole year. By the rule of the nature first of Baishak returns again. By extending influence indigenous culture takes up the responsibility of building up a healthy and conscious mind. After bathing in culture people try to portray a clear personality of himself. Sense of honor towards own culture gives the preliminary initiation to any nation to he great. New year is a great reflection in the life of the Bengalies. Mainly the Bengali nation expresses its reverence towards its own culture through the observance of the Bengali new year, Inseparable relationship exists between the Bengali new year and the Bengali Culture Identity of a conscious nation is expressed through the different cultural images. Bengali new year expresses that identity of the Bengali culture. New year makes the people conscious about their cultural identity. Meaning of bid welcome to the first day of the new year is to express the eager mentality to bid welcome to the new. The Bengalis are a language based nation who were born in Bengal, mother language is Bengali mainly they are the Bengalis. Biggest festival of these Bengalis is the Bengali new year. By abandoning the remembrance of the sorrow, pain, delight, festival of the previous year it welcomes the new year. Flood of festival takes place during the Baikshakh Paris are arranged in the villages, Different types hand made materials and fair of foods are Fairs as if the reflection of the rural Bangladesh. It is as if their lives are reflected by pieces of the works of their hands. Dolls made of clay, jute made materials, fans made of the leaves of the plan trees, birds made of dried up jute trees, bamboo whistless, mollusc bush, chain of glass beads, so may wonderful things are exhibited in these faires. If one does not see with his own eyes then it is hardly believable that lives of the people of Bangladesh are such prosperous. It may be that the people of Bengal are poor, they may be grinded by poverty, yet these sorrows and pains could not deprive them of the delight of their lives. New year’s day conveys them words of hope. So, new year arouses light of hope and enthusiasm in our life. For that reason, first of Baishakh to us, Naorose to the Persians and Happy New Year to the English are the specially delight full days. As there was the day of punnah in the lives of the Bengali, in the same way there was the Halkhata festival in the lives of the Bengalis. With the abolishment of the land lord system, Punnah festival abolished. But the Halkhata festival is continuing with pride, Halkhata festivals are solemnized in the different business organizations Repayment of all the payables, loan-borrowing of the previous year starts on that day. Not only that the business transaction takes place, rather exchange of mind also occurs here. Friendship among the people increases through the business transaction during the first Baishakh. Same changes occurred in the observance of the first Baishakh now a days, specially in the lives of the people of the towns.
Poems are read in the open stages in the towns, discussion and cultural programs etc. are held. Cultural function held under the roots of the banyan tree of Ramna received extensive popularity. Not only the dance and songs, rather old water soaked rice and Hilsha fish fry eating started as a festival there for many years. Feelings of Baishakh i.e. feelings of the new year are intermingled in the heart of the new year are intermingled in the heart of the Bengalis. But it is a matter of regret that the practical application of Bengali New year is almost absent in our lives. It may be said that use of Bengali year or Bengali date are almost non existent in our daily life. Bengali date is not used in our schools, offices, courts, bank-insurances, fixation of date of foreign travel etc. or in any other such cases. Bengali new year is celebrated every year in a pompous and delightful festival only in one country of the world people of which sacrificed their lives by making struggle for the preservation of their language. But right at that country Bengali year and Bengali date are ignored. Under this situation it is necessary to start the feelings of the Baishakh or Bengali culture at all the places of the country including the offices and courts of it. It is imperative to use Bengali language and Bengali date in all fields.

We the people are but the puppets of our needs and whims. We worship god for whatever he gave us and for the ability he bestowed us with.
The image above depicts an event when the god is giving a strong punch to the person who is involved in the immersion. He is being pulled up by the almighty for the filth he is spreading in the river.
We should stop spreading filth here and there and worship god so that we attain peace and prosperity. This should not be done at the cost of many lives who unknowingly suffer from the dirt caused by the people.
Disclaimer: I have not tried to hurt anyone's religious sentiment. I have just endeavored to convey a message (mentioned above)
