I had the privilege to participate on the Dar Reality Cycle Tour with Nehemiah Kyando Mchechu and Mejah Mbuya in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The 12 mile ride took us from Millennium Tower to the Village Museum. I saw various neighborhoods and cultural sites such as the Ferlimo and ANC Buildings. The tour illustrated how Che Guevara and Malcolm X helped in Tanzania’s struggle for independence. I want to thank Nehemiah and Mejah for helping me better understand the social, urbanization, and environmental issues of the Dar es Salaam people.
It was a wonderful tour and truly one of the best ways to see the city of Dar es Salaam.
This is a bridge that is actually called the reality bridge (in dutch 'realiteitsbrug'). It has something very perculiar and mythical about it, I find.
Under it there's beautiful graffity.
Day 2 of shooting with my Nikon D60 with 18-55 VR f/3.5-5.6G lense. Mostly still experimenting.
