For the 2018 Brighton Digital Festival, Lighthouse presented selected works from the Sheffield Doc/Fest Alternate Realities exhibition, which premiered at the internationally renowned documentary festival in June 2018.

Exploring the themes of borders, identity, and loss, the works each showed how immersive and interactive technologies enable us to interpret and engage with socio-political infrastructures, storytelling and the interface of physical and digital worlds. Each work used a different technological platform to explore the ideas – gaming, AR, social media and interactive installation.

Solo para millonarios...

I used the french map again, coloring it with water soluable crayons to color the petals and leaves.

Morgana, plagued by demons, feels increasingly disconnected from reality, when suddenly everything returns to normal. She is back in the park, but there is no one else around. At first, she thinks it was all a dream, but then she realizes that the park is different, it is dark and Morgana knows that the darkness surrounding it will last forever.

As Morgana looks around, she feels a shiver of terror run down her spine. The lights that once illuminated the park are almost absorbed by a suffocating darkness, which seems to envelop the place like a cloak of shadows. There is no sound, only an oppressive silence that weighs on her shoulders like a burden.

Morgana ventures further, walking on unstable and disconcerting ground. Every step she takes seems to sink into the darkness, as if the park itself wants to devour her. Shadows lengthen around her, dancing in a sinister manner, while the wind whispers an unsettling lament through the bare trees.

It is in that moment that Morgana realizes she has entered another world, a dark and terrifying realm that goes beyond the known reality. This park is no longer the place she once knew, it has become a place of eternal darkness. The darkness that surrounds it is like a living entity, imprisoning Morgana in an endless embrace.

Despite the horror that surrounds her, Morgana does not feel sad and desolate. Somehow, in this dark world, she feels comfortable. She has always felt a sense of alienation in the normal world, as if she didn't belong there. Now, in the realm of demons, she finally feels at home.

The demons and specters that populate the park seem to sense this feeling in Morgana. They approach her, but instead of attacking her, they leave her alone. As if they had found another ally instead of prey. Morgana has become part of that world, and her inner demons resonate in harmony with those around her.

And so, Morgana wanders through the dark park, accepting her new reality. The darkness that surrounds her becomes her refuge, while the demons become her companions. There is no hope of escape anymore, but Morgana has finally found her place in this realm of darkness where she will be destined to remain forever.
