Take a close look at this little girl with the toffee apple. She was there standing against that wall, but now she isn't. The photographer who made this installation is playing games with our minds. I wish I knew their names - the photographer and the little girl, but in the end the point's been made.
This scene caught my attention while on holiday in Panglao Island, Bohol, Philippines. Well, my escape from reality is almost over and I’ll be back to work, back to reality by tomorrow. Enjoy your weekend, Flickr friends!

"Everyone has his own reality in which, if one is not too cautious, timid, or frightened, one swims. This is the only reality there is." ~ Henry Miller
Special thanks to encounter - Laura and hibbary for the textures.
For January I am exploring 'Composites and Craziness' in an attempt to develop new skills and explore my creativity. No AI but lots of Photoshop and old photographs.
'Reality' - what is real? An augmented photograph of store dummies. Reflections, symbols, imagination, misdirection?
To make this photo more attractive, auto enhance used, which lowered the high tone, raised the low tone, increased contract and saturation, refined the details. The final one is quite different from the original. So, is this one better than the original? Well, it may bring out more than my eyes can notice, but it is a little far from the reality. Or I was restricted by the camera I used? What should we capture through the camera? reality or fantasy?

Believe it or not, these colors are exactly what presented to my naked eye! On a crystal clear day!
Yes, let it be a Tree-Mendous Tuesday for you and yours, and stay very safe, wherever you are....!

Periodically atmospherics cast an otherworldly panorama. This image was shot about an hour after sunrise on the Washington side of the mouth of the Columbia River.
After a wonderful holiday season it is time to get back to the realities of every day life. Here is wishing you simplicity, peace, and love in dealing with what the New Year brings.
Day 327
A different take on the same concept as yesterday :) I did shoot today but I haven't edited a selfie yet and I don't feel like doing it now :P
Special thanks, as always, to Yasmin. Though you probably can't spot her in this photo she was holding an umbrella to help get the reflections right :P
A Kaleidoscope of Reality
One day, I was walking through a small park passageway, which featured a glass labyrinth with colored panes. The gray surroundings took on a new, fairytale dimension. Reality took on color.
“The best thing about dreams is that fleeting moment, when you are between asleep and awake, when you don't know the difference between reality and fantasy, when for just that one moment you feel with your entire soul that the dream is reality, and it really happened.”
For her, day-to-day thoughts have nothing to do with the conflict in Iraq.
They don't involve gas prices, future career choices, or the upcoming election.
The greatest decision she has right now is this: Should Suzy's dress be blue, pink, or perhaps yellow?
That is her reality. Pure, simple, sweet reality.
Let's go with pink...
(Thanks, AlexEdg, for the texture)
***added Tuesday night***
Just looked at this ORKUT website. I'm glad such sickness is not part of our childrens' reality. Absolutely makes my stomach turn. I have a flickr friend, bullfrogs*and*butterflies who has a child featured on one of the profiles there. The fake profile actually shows a "sexiness rating" of 2 1/2 hearts! So sad...
Fwa.. Busy day. Had play practice and a choir concert.
This picture makes my feet look rather big. They're really not large.
The stick insect in the back is my little sis.
We were goofing around, when I stubbed my toe and lept onto the bed. (just as the camera happened to flash).
Niiiiiiiice.
No morning coffee, lunch or evening glass of wine by the pool - we're home and it's January... Dreaming of summer and warmer weather. Shot yesterday but didn't get it posted till today...
