A Kaleidoscope of Reality

One day, I was walking through a small park passageway, which featured a glass labyrinth with colored panes. The gray surroundings took on a new, fairytale dimension. Reality took on color.

My dreams are so vivid and complex that sometimes they stuck in my mind all day long. I still wonder if we actually dream when we think we are dreaming or if we live the dream for real in another world or dimension maybe.

One thing I know for certain, most of my dreams influence my daily life more than reality.

“The more stupid one is, the closer one is to reality. The more stupid one is, the clearer one is. Stupidity is brief and artless, while intelligence squirms and hides itself. Intelligence is unprincipled, but stupidity is honest and straightforward.”

― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

Due to a minor derailment in Boston on Wednesday DOBO didn't run overnight. Thursday's New Hampshire Northcoast gravel train ended up making a rare morning run out of Ossipee. Despite being delayed for track work in Rochester, the train made a very early arrival in Dover allowing for this view that is normally shadowed by the time the train arrives. The good news was the GP18 was back out on the road today, the bad news was the FURX unit was leading!

Reality is wrong. Dreams are for real.

Expectations vs Reality..

Expectation: milkyway , note. not epic, not full core, just a milkway

Reality: Hey look i can see a star or two 😉

Expectation: Awesome mad lighthouse

Reality: flakey paint job , poorly maintained barber pole impersonating as a ship deterrent device...with a light, seriously, do they still need lights ?

I found some old lighting painting crap from many years ago, partially destroyed from an exploded battery pack, mental note, don't leave batteries in devices too long

But it did have a partially functioning bit of EL wire and a red bike torch stolen from Sarah we made something outta of nothing.

How fragmented is your reality?

What does fragmented mean in psychology?

When a person experiences severe trauma, their identity, including personality and emotions, goes through a process of fragmentation. This is when the body divides traits and feelings, and groups them into smaller sections, keeping some of them hidden until a safe space for expression is provided.

So how much do you really know about yourself? - A strange concept - that you might not actually know yourself.

As we all get older it occurs to me that we may not be able to trust our own memories. A very worrying thought.

You cant escape from it...

East Bank/Egypt 2019 (Luxor Temple ("the southern sanctuary" in ancient Thebes) was constructed approximately 1400 BCE. Luxor temple is not dedicated to a cult god or a deified version of the king in death. Instead Luxor temple is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship; it may have been where many of the kings of Egypt were crowned in reality or conceptually.

There are chapels built by Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty, and Alexander. Other parts of the temple were built by Tutankhamun and Ramesses II. During the Roman era, the temple and its surroundings were a legionary fortress and the home of the Roman government in the area...)

Dreaming about discovering islands....perhaps that view saw the first discoverer of Madeira. Only rocks, ocean and nobody living there!

*The history said that it was Tristão Vaz Teixeira the Portuguese navigator and explorer that, together with João Gonçalves Zarco and Bartolomeu Perestrelo, discovered the Madeira Islands (1419-1420)
