La Santa Iglesia Prioral Basílica Catedral de las Órdenes Militares de Nuestra Señora Santa María del Prado de Ciudad Real, iniciada en el siglo XV, es de estilo gótico, aunque posee elementos anteriores de estilo románico tardío pertenecientes al precedente de la catedral: la iglesia parroquial de época de Alfonso X el Sabio. Sobre esta se construyó la catedral, la cual se terminó a mediados del siglo XVI tras la construcción de las cubiertas de las bóvedas. No obstante encontramos también elementos posteriores, de estilo renacentistas y barrocos. Lo último que se construyó fue la actual torre, a principios del siglo XIX.

My first real attempt for a hand sculpted 3-D cake. My boyfriend has a replica of a Minnesota Vikings helmet. I decided that would be a perfect cake for him. So I took pictures of it from all angles and made the cake from that. I'm not 100% happy with the face mask. I wasn't sure what way to go about making it. I first hand shaped wiring and then applied the fondant. All the other details were hand cut with an x-acto knife. All the lettering and the lines on the field are royal icing. The helmet is white cake with fresh, chopped raspberries mixed in. The field is the leftover white cake batter with cocoa powder mixed in.
