This photo was taken on our last night in Maui. It is taken at a little park behind Front St. in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. The image perfectly captures my mood... the reality of going home and yet caught up in the surreal beauty of this place. Aloha Maui... Maholo nui loa.

wonderful winter hiking tour in the austrian mountains (Region Salzkammergut)
wunderschöne Winterwanderung im steirischen Salzkammergut bis tief in die Silvesternacht. Der reflektierende Schnee machte es ohne zusätzliches Licht möglich! Ein wenig Ortskenntnis vorausgesetzt! ;)
La Primavera, con toda su fuerza y esplendor, ha llegado al Mediterráneo...
Y ya se sabe que "La Primavera, la sangre altera"...
Estos dos Pavos Reales, han desplegado sus mejores plumas y colores...
Y este 2º, tampoco tiene ya escapatoria: si intenta escapar, se hundirá más... además, el despliegue de su plumaje y colores, ha quedado bien registrado... ¡¡¡La Primavera, también lo ha secuestrado!!!
Patio de las Doncellas: Al Patio de las Doncellas lo rodean cuatro galerías coronadas con bellísimos artesonados en madera con formas poligonales, estrelladas y policromías, con veinticuatro arcos lobulados en total que dan acceso a determinadas salas para invitados.
It's not very easy to get a morning northtbound on the INRD. Only a weekly wayfreight on Fridays crosses Tulip Trestle, and usually only rates 3-5 cars. Yes, this train isn't very long either, but INRD doesn't get the varnish out often anymore. This was the consist for the previous weekend's Santa train deadheading back to Indy for storage.
I spotted this tiny crab in the sand about 20 feet from the water, and my first thought was, could it be real? Which makes this most suitable for this week's Looking Close on Friday theme. It certainly looked real, but very tiny, only 2-3 inches across. Did a hungry gull scoop it from the water's edge and then drop it? The blue color was striking, but there are blue crabs. I didn't want to touch it, in case it was decaying, but took a series of photos, getting down in the sand for this closeup. After zooming in on the photos at home, I finally decided that it was just a very realistic child's toy, but finely detailed and very realistic. -- Robert Moses State Park, New York August 22, 2023

Este patio posee una alberca en el centro con forma de T y arriates hundidos un metro con arcos de medio punto enlazados y descubiertos en 2002 tras ser enterrados en el siglo XVI.

El salón de Embajadores es la pieza principal de los Reales Alcázares. El Salón está cubierto por una majestuosa cúpula de lacería de madera dorada semiesférica. Su antiguo nombre de Salón de la Media Naranja se debía a esta magnífica cúpula, fue reconstruido por Diego Ruiz en 1427, las puertas son originales de 1366, además de la decoración de yeserías y alicatados de los muros.

Fue conocido como Palacio de Oriente durante la dictadura franquista, a pesar de estar situado en la parte más occidental de Madrid, debido a su ubicación en la plaza de Oriente, llamada así al estar situada al este del palacio. A eje con el palacio, y enfrentado, se encuentra al otro extremo de la plaza el Teatro Real.
