A litle real Winter!
At least a bit of snow! Perhaps 5cm. And a sunny day. So I skipped office and went out. No special pictures, but hey, I was exited like a little boy.
I mean, lets just abolish this no skateboarding, no roller skates, no scooter ordinance and the GPD can get as lame as they want. Until then, they will be exposed for breaking the law.

El Real Sitio de La Granja está situado en la vertiente norte de la sierra del Guadarrama, a unos 90 kilómetros de Madrid. Su nombre proviene de una antigua granja que los monjes jerónimos del monasterio segoviano de El Parral tenían aquí.
Felipe V se retiró a este lugar en 1724 y durante los veinte años siguientes engrandeció los jardines y el palacio, que fue usado como residencia de verano por todos sus sucesores hasta Alfonso XIII. Recientemente, se han acometido trabajos de restauración y de reordenación de las colecciones en los Salones Oficiales que nos permiten volver a la época de Felipe V.
Son de gran interés las bóvedas pintadas al fresco, los cuadros y el mobiliario de los siglos XVIII y XIX.
También destacan la Sala de Lacas, los cuadros realizados por Panini, y el museo de tapices donde se expone, entre otras, la serie del Apocalipsis, obra bruselesa del Siglo XVI.
Los jardines son uno de los mejores ejemplos que hoy se conservan de los jardines del siglo XVIII, realizado por el arquitecto francés René Carlier; está formado con parterres y bosquetes delimitados con paredes de vetación formadas con carpe, y alineaciones de árboles, en especial tilos y castaños de Indias. En el siglo XIX se introdujeron nuevas especies, sobre todo coníferas como las monumentales sequoias, plantadas ante la Real Colegiata, en los jardines del Medio Punto.
Estatuas de mármol blanco, y jarrones del siglo XVIII, decoran los parterres y avenidas del jardín, que se completan con grandiosas esculturas en las fuentes, en plomo pintado imitando bronce. Destacan las de Neptuno, Apolo y Andrómeda en la amplia perspectiva de las Carreras de Caballos; la Cascada de Anfítride, ante el Palacio; y las de las Ocho Calles, el Canastillo, los Baños de Diana y la Fama.
El agua que alimenta sus surtidores llega desde un gran depósito llamado El Mar, situado por encima de la zona ajardinada. Por la fuerza de la gravedad, como en el siglo XVIII, el agua de algunos surtidores alcanza los 40 metros de altura, como el de la fuente de la Fama.

When it comes to Sea Gulls (Silver Gulls, (Chroicocephalus novaehollandiae), there's no difference between birds on one side of the country to birds on the other. Their appearance, call and behaviour is exactly the same. No food left unattended is ever safe for long. This one has found itself a real big treat.
I hope you will appreciate an inside look at the Native American Indians. I tried my best at photographing the cover and back cover of my book. If anyone got screwed over it was the tribe’s of America.

È un polo museale costituito dalla dimora storica, dall'annesso giardino e dalla pinacoteca, la Galleria di Palazzo Reale che costituisce una delle principali quadrerie cittadine. Situato in via Balbi 10, a poca distanza dalla sede universitaria e dalla stazione ferroviaria di Genova Piazza Principe, fa parte di un importante complesso architettonico sei-settecentesco del quale sono conservati intatti gli interni di rappresentanza, dagli affreschi agli stucchi, dai quadri agli arredi.
This is a real, live 'Bowl of Beauty' peony!
Last year I purchased one that was labelled as one, but was not. This one I just planted this spring and am kind of surprized (but very pleased) that it is blooming. Sometimes I find peonies need to get established for a few years before they will bloom.
This one looks like it's going to have two flowers!
