Blackpool Transport - Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine 2 - M374 SCK is seen here on Blackpool Promenade on July 14th 2016.
Yesterday (Saturday 23rd July 2016) marked the last day of step entrance operation for Blackpool Transport (if you exclude open top 857), as such Blackpool Transport allocated Volvo Olympian's 374 (M374SCK), 375 (M375SCK) and 377 (M377SCK) to service 1 alongside the usual mix of low floor stuff. 374-378 will now be withdrawn along with the remaining Mercedes engined Optare Solo's 277 and 279.
Thanks for the driver for leaving a bit of space from the car in front allowing this photograph to be taken, especially as this was the only real chance I had to snap one.

The real Missabe is represented by SD18 193 while the caboose on the right is one of two former BN extended vision examples donated to the Lake County Historical Society a number of years ago. One was subsequently sold to NSM while this one was painted in DM&IR colors to reflect its new home. It is now part of the LSRM collection (cabooses make nice birthday party hosts for NSSR operations).

Ultimamente me está gustando muchísimo esto de la fotografía de naturaleza, es un mundo en el cual cada día aprendes una cosa nueva y empiezas a prestar atencion a la forma de vida de animales y sonidos a tu alrededor de los cuales hasta ahora casi ni le prestaba atención.
La pena es que no tengo el objetivo adecuado y al realizar los recortes las fotos pierden mucho.
Garza Real
La Garza Real (Ardea cinerea) es natural de Europa, Asia y África.
Habita en los márgenes de los depósitos de agua dulce, salobre y salada.
Es de gran tamaño. Mide entre 90 y 100 cm. y es robusta. Su plumaje es gris por la parte superior y blanco por debajo. El pico es grande, de color amarillo y las patas son amarillo grisacea o grises. Construye el nido en la copa de los árboles. Se la puede ver descansando sobre una pata en aguas poco profundas así como en las ramas de los árboles es migratoria y se la ve en invierno.
Creo que tengo otra un poquito mejor, ya os la subiré.
