Hotel Saikrupa is located on the "Kankuri Road". It is behind the Shirdi municipal office (or Nagar Panchayat) which is the biggest and easiest landmark. It is located on the other side of the highway, from Sai Baba temple. If you are coming from Mumbai/Nasik, Hotel Saikrupa is to your "right hand" side. If you are coming from Hyderabad/Ahmednagar or Pune then Hotel Saikrupa is to your "left hand" side.

Very nice elephant cow reaching out to sample the air. We saw a LOT of elephants in the Amboseli area. Some really big herds--very impressive.

Day five of our Norway Trip.

We drive from Alta to North Cape (NordKapp) in winter along snow covered roads and in a convoy until we reach the most northerly point in Europe. We then spend the evening in Honningsvag.

We start the day at our Hotel in Alta the Scandic Alta by having breakfast and checking the weather and road forecast for the day ahead.

We set out very early and drive towards the North Cape, the roads were covered in snow and we followed a snow plough for about an hour.

We finally arrived to the road to North Cape (Nordkapp) at 10:40 ready for the convoy at 11:00. In order to drive to the North Cape in winter you need to follow a convoy that departs twice per day, this is to ensure that it is safe and everyone arrives in one piece.

The North Cape is the most northernmost point in Europe and I have wanted to visit it for more than 20 years.

We had a good look around and it was quite windy, in fact the wind blew my camera tripod over breaking my camera lens.

Inside we toured the exhibits and got some lunch.

In total we spend a couple of hours here before driving back to Honningsvag.

At Honningsvag we checked into out hotel the Scandic Bryggen Honningsvag and walked around the town before getting some dinner.

We ended the day with a sauna at our hotel.
