Reaching out for the hand that smacked.
Reaching out for that hand to hold.
Reaching out for the Star.
Reaching out for the Star that explodes.
Reaching out for Mama.

In 2008, I was blessed to go to the nation of Myanmar spreading the gospel and helping the church. It was an adventure and a journey that I will never forget. This year I was suppose to go back but I felt like it wasn't my time yet. I hope someday I'll go back there. For now, I'll pray and support the members who are going there.

We took a drive out to Lamoine State Park to see the Small Reach Regatta on Saturday. While James has been building a sailboat for the past 10 years, seeing all these small wooden boats has given him a good push to move things along. We'll probably go back to volunteer & crew next year, and hopefully Pepo will be participating in the regatta in 2012!

I've taken a lot of photos of Verne Shaffer art around Beloit, but I'd never so much as tried taking a photo of this one... until now. (Wish I'd remembered to reset the camera's ISO from the night before!)
