This is kind of dramatic/ yet cool. I feel like this picture is kind of religious in a way, such as "reaching out to jesus!!11".. uh.
the other night I was busy in the kitchen so the hubs took the girlies to this very park, where they picked these very flowers and brought them home to me. they are so sweet!

What participating in Inktober 2024 has meant to me:
1. Faces and heads – challenging from start to finish!
2. Hands and legs – so many ways to draw them, but I’m not always sure they’re in the right place.
3. Shading – makes a huge difference, even if it is tricky to get just right.
4. Drawing a straight line – easier said than done! During Inktober, I discovered that I enjoyed drawing mountains!
5. Researching a few of my own photos (e.g. fish, nomadic, Ocoee River) was a joy—felt like lifelong learning at its best.
6. Enjoyed experimenting with different papers, pens, and pencils.
7. Learned so much about using paintbrushes, effects, and digital techniques.
8. Problem-solving along the way was surprisingly rewarding.
9. Met some new Flickr friends and picked up a few great techniques.
10. Loved seeing how others interpreted each day’s challenge word.
11. Early on, I thought about quitting the month-long challenge because it was hard at times, but I’m glad I didn’t.
12. Sometimes, drawing felt like traveling to a new time or place—a real adventure!

The flowering tree branches were just beyond her reach. She pressed her rail thin body deeper into the bars of the window, fingers nearly coming undone at the joints as she willed them to stretch further. A blossom brushed the tip of her forefinger, then it danced away as the wind swept by. It wanted to play catch-me-if-you-can, and she longed to play with it, if she hadn’t already been caught. The warming wind off the sweat soaked fields loosened the petals. They fell to earth like tears. She relaxed and rubbed her raw collarbone. The wind swept into her, then out of her all at once. Yet another springtime without her.

Lots of things happening in our lives, very hectic! Wife is retiring, she needs both hips replaced (one soon), and we're buying another car (getting rid of two cars) because we're thinking of purchasing a camper to use in our retirement. Wow, that sounds weird......gonna need a vacation before we are both retired...lol!
This giraffe uses its long neck and tongue to reach a snack offered by a park visitor. The visitor received the snack from the facility and reached out the window of their car to provide the snack to the giraffe. Seen at the African Safari Wildlife Park in Port Clinton, Ohio.
Took a trip to Reydon Wood to try and shoot some Bluebells, but it was a week or two too soon really as they were only a few patches fully in bloom, will try again in at the weekend or next.
No matter how tall you are, couple of inches can make all the difference :-)

Sometimes I feel like everything around me wants to take me down. I feel that I have lost control, but a tiny part of me still wants to fight and crawl out, jump out. That part of me is what holds me together and helps me reach out. It's what keeps me going.
So yeah, this may look a bit creepy but it's me trying to convey how even if there are things that are trying to make you loose control then as long as you reach out you will come out of it not completely okay, but just know that things will get better.
This is my new Halo Reach/Multiplayer Moc. It doesn't realy resemble a specific map, just some of the different abilities you can use on the video game: Halo Reach, such as running, jet pack, energy shield. Also, it can be opened to get a better (clear) view at it (Moc is "opened" right now). To watch it closed click on the link: www.flickr.com/photos/53675253@N07/5196951224/

...Now I'm itching for the tall grass. And longing for the breeze. I need to step outside, just to see if I can breathe.
The last few days of summer feel like they are about to end. Jeans and t-shirt weather is here, fall on the horizon. We are already knee deep in school work, with no end in sight. With all the stress of school and work, we can only look back on the summer days we wasted away not appreciating the ability to be lazy, the relationships, the memories that are already tarnished.
Mackenzie is brave and gorgeous. It shows in everything she does including this picture.
