AV442 has joined the City Tour fleet, and is seen here at Stop 1 in O'Connell Street. Sister bus, AV441 is also now out and about on tours duties.

It looks like whoever applied the decals to the front of AV442 has raised the multi lingual flags a little too high and they now block the LED display!

Once he was 12 weeks old and had experienced the outdoors around our home, we took him to a remote and wooded area. He was released into the wild. More about him later.

"Representative H.J. Drane, who wants another month in the year - "Center" - nickname "Middle" - this is getting to be a great world. Wonder what he wants that for? Maybe he works by the month, or probably he wants a little raise and is too modest to come right out and ask for it. But what's the idea of picking of poor little Friday to burden all of the 13s? How about leap year? What will all of the old maids do without it? He must have had a lucky night on Friday the 13th, or maybe they just need more Fridays the 13th down in Florida. - Even though it does make another month, it don't make as many days - poor day worker! O! Well, some people just have to have something to pass away the time. After all though - us service men don't mind it much - we could use another months' pay a year without being overburdened with money till our Bonus comes around. Probably that's just a new way of getting popular. The poor birds that were born on Feb 29, would be out of luck."

To mate, the male dragonfly grasps the female's neck with his anal appendages, raises his abdomen and invites the female to bend her abdomen to join their copulating organs. Together they form a heart-shaped ''mating wheel''

The trailer mounted mast-raising system on my Precision Boat Works Precision 21 sailboat. I can step the mast single-handed with this system in about 20 minutes. A friend of mine built the system from photos of a factory-built system.

Gautam Buddha the Serene One founded Buddhism a pan global religion which harkens on Peace and righteous content and the message of grace.

Buddha is a symbol of peace, enlightenment, and spiritual guidance. He is often depicted in various postures and representations, each holding deep symbolism and significance. One such representation is the orange statue to be seen in Srilanka with a raised hand.

This particular orange statue in the middle of a Nuwara Eliya town on one of the intersections lay forlorn on a dark summer evening.

This posture is known as the Abhaya Mudra, which translates to "fearlessness" or "dispelling fear." The raised hand signifies protection and assurance to all beings, offering them solace and freedom from fear.

Nuwara Eliya, situated amidst the lush greenery of Sri Lanka's hill country, provides an ideal setting for this sacred representation. The serene environment complements the peaceful aura that emanates from the Buddha statue.

This depiction of Gautam Buddha serves as a reminder of his teachings on compassion, wisdom, and inner peace. It invites visitors to reflect upon their own fears and anxieties while finding solace in the presence of the enlightened one.

Whether you are seeking spiritual enlightenment or simply appreciating artistry and cultural heritage, encountering the orange statue with a raised hand in Nuwara Eliya or elsewhere in Srilanka, the sight offers a profound experience that transcends boundaries.

This is a close-up of a piece of art/graffiti on one of the walls in Womanby Street in Cardiff, outside an old cinema that has now been converted into a fashion market.

The scale and standard of the art is really impressive. I love how air vent in the existing wall has been integrated into the art, like it's always been a part of it.

I am now the very proud owner of Jenny's raised alpine bed, which was designed and made by Jenny and Chris.

This has now found a home at the bottom of my kitchen steps and has been planted up with choice alpines, many of them from specialist nurseries.

It should look fabulous in the Spring.
