AKA: lowering the lens.

Another pseudo-fog image of Little Gull Island Lighthouse with the lens pitched further down.

New L&B SwearTECH LE Demon Bomber Jacket Z07 has a limited edition texturing that adds even more great versatility to this jacket. I wore it in a more Cyberpunk fashion prior, but this one made me think of a grungy city.

Available now at Man Cave event.

It looks kind of wobbly, I wonder if it is still used.

In this family we take that literacy slogan very seriously.

Here Tessa and Sole are reading their own copy of The Charmed Life of Charlie Critter. It's the third issue, created by our Australian flickr friend Amanda Andrews, about the amazing capers of her cat Charlie Critter and his friends. www.flickr.com/photos/mudmapimages/29966642262/in/contacts/

We can't recommend the series highly enough for both the stories and the photos. All three issues can be purchased at: www.blurb.com/b/7309061-the-charmed-life-of-charlie-critter

you know, some mornings there's just a voice that cries out, says "go now, or you'll miss something I have to show you" so I listen, grab my bicycle/car and race the light - then church today was great, again the message, "love one another, and be compassionate".

further reading: the priest had an opening mentioning how life situations are difficult for many and how people would even turn away from their faiths, because things may not have gone all to plan throughout the year. it's hard - then, I loved this part, near the closing of the sermon, the priest said, if the messiah were to visit my house would I clean the house, make a feast for him, or give him gifts, and well those are all earthly matters. so better it is to be still before him, listen to him, and open my heart to him. worth even more. reading was from Luke 10v39. to be compassionate, put my feet into other peoples shoes, that my personal happiness comes at the end.

Happy Monochrome Monday ... scene from Utah near Moab. Like being in another time there at Moab Giants ;)

Here is is the third week in a row with temperatures above 33 degrees Celsius and no rain, and the weather forecast is the same for the next 10 days.

The constant heat became almost unbearable.

Watering the garden is a daily job, although most of the trees and plants have signs of permanent damaging.

Few bees and butterflies appear in the evening when it's a bit cooler and I wonder how the birds are dealing with this, the water from their pots in the garden become hot after less than half an hour.

Are we responsible for what's happening? How hot it will be next year? Or over 10 years?

And if it's not enough for us to open the eyes and act, no matter how small our gestures are, let me remind you of the experiment of the boiling frog.

Someone forgot to check the height of the bridge before sailing into it. Since this is The Titanic it will save the ship from hitting an iceberg and sinking. The bridge, on the other hand, didn't fare as well. I suppose this is what is called alt history. Who are you going to believe? Me or the history books. I've got this picture to prove I'm right!

HMS Good Hope about to leave the Falklands. (Si ustedes prefieren, las islas de Malvinas.)

This has a sad outcome. The ship was raising steam to go out to meet a crack German commerce raiding force in the Pacific. It was a complete mismatch and the Good Hope was sunk with all hands.

Both of this doe's fawns are "boys". Look closely and you can see the exasperation on her face. It's not easy raising young boys.

The Galah (Eolophus roseicapilla), less commonly known as the pink and grey cockatoo or rose-breasted cockatoo, is an Australian species of cockatoo and the only member of the genus Eolophus. The galah is adapted to a wide variety of modified and unmodified habitats and is one of Australia's most abundant and widespread bird species
