In winter we went to Italy (Tuskany) for holiday and we were looking forward for nice city trips with temperatures around 10-15 degree celsius. In the end it was the coldest winter since 1950 and the whole week (apart from one day) we had only strong rain and snow. I tried at least some street photogrphy, but even this was nearly impossible as I tried to save my gear from getting soaking wet and there were not many people outside anyway. A bit of frustrating...

Im Winter sind wir in die Toskana gereist und freuten uns auf schöne Städtetouren bei 10-15 Grad Celsius. Aber am Ende war es der kälteste Winter seit 1950 dort und die ganze Woche (bis auf einen Tag) hatten wir nur starken Regen und Schnee. Ich habe mich ein wenig in Street Fotografie versucht, aber selbst das war schwierig, denn ich musste irgendwie meine Kamera davor schützen durchnässt zu werden und ohnehin waren kaum Leute unterwegs. Ziemlich frustrierend.

Left over roses from a few days ago, still arranged as I'd left them on my patio table, couldn't escape the heavy rain storm we had yesterday afternoon. And I wasn't about to go out to save them, or anything else in the yard.

Immer wieder heftige Gewitterschauer - bald ist es genug. Trotzdem können wir - die keine Unwetterschäden davon getragen haben - glücklich sein.

decided to retouch a few of my photo's from the other weekend in photo shop & add rain.

mainly because its raining today... & i can't get out to get more pictures. so, its a photo shop day unfortunately. don't get me wrong, i like playing on photo shop - but i'd rather be out shooting.
