The rain left some puddles giving nice reflections in the backlot of this storage area. Had some fun making it more dramatic.
The sunbeams and mist suddenly combined to create beautiful light on the curtain of vines. Atlanta Botanical Gardens. This was my entry in Flickr's "Your Best Shot of 2019".

We've had a stretch of dry days, and the animals have been looking for moisture. We didn't get much rain today, but it was enough for a mourning dove shower.

While editing this image, I was listening to Eric Clapton and "Let it Rain" came into the shuffle...and so it came to be :)
Five days of overcast skies and rain puts a damper on HDR photography.....and so one looks for inspiration through the window of one's vehicle.....
You might better enjoy viewing this at the larger sizes....
A short overnight rain left its beauty. Likely the last rain photos for a while with extremely high heat and no rain for at least a week or more.

I Wish it Would Rain Down
You know I never meant to see you again
and I only passed by as a friend
All this time I stayed out of sight
I started wondering why
Now I, I wish it would rain down, down on me
Yes I wish it would rain, rain down on me now
You said you didn't need me in your life
I guess you were right
Well I never meant to cause you no pain
But it looks like I did it again
Now I, I wish ....
Though your hurt is gone, mines hanging on, inside
And I know it's eating me through every night and day
I'm just waiting on your sign
'Cos I know, I know I never meant to cause you no pain
And I realize I let you down
But I know in my heart of heart of hearts
I know I'm never gonna hold you again
(Phil Collins - I Wish it Would Rain Down)
Desidererei Che Si Riversasse Su Di Me
Tu sai che non credevo di vederti ancora
e io passato vicino solo come amico
Per tutto questo tempo sono stato lontano dagli occhi
Cominciavo a chiedermi perchè
E so che mi sta mangiando, ogni giorno e ogni notte
Sto solo aspettando il tuo segno
Perchè so, so che non volevo farti male
E so che ti lascerò andare
Ma so nel mio cuore del cuore dei cuori
so che mai ti tratterrò di nuovo

A light rain on Basil leaves...can you smell the beautiful aroma?
Basil represents a token of love in Italy, and in Greece, the word 'basil' is derived from similar Greek terms meaning ‘royal’ or ‘kingly’.
In old India, basil was cherished as a symbol of hospitality, and in Romania if a boy accepts a sprig of basil from a girl, he is engaged.
In Gloucestershire it smells great in the kitchen.
This is Rain. She is my alt. Although nobody believes this, because people seem to know that we live on 2 different continents, 8 hours apart.
What people don't realize is, we discovered time's not linear. And then we applied Fae logic. And now Rain is also my Rain Dear 😍
In Japan, there is a period of continuous light rain called the long autumn rains blessing for plants. 👍This autumn has been warm, and the leaves are changing color a week later than usual.
The almost unbelievable multi-hued bark of a stand of three Rainbow Eucalyptus trees growing close together along the road to Hana, in Maui, Hawaii.
We had a real rainforest experience on the windward side of Maui the day we headed out to find these trees we had been told were somewhere along the endless twists and turns of the road to Hana. Having seen a few pictures of this type of tree before, I had always assumed that the colors in the photos must have been extremely intensified in post processing. But nature never ceases to amaze. The colors really were exceedingly vibrant in many places even in a heavy rain, though we never saw any of the cool blue hues that are sometimes displayed as the trees age and new bark sections peel to reveal fresh new streaks of color below.
With the heavy rain limiting things a little bit and causing some spots of glare on the trunks, I decided to try some very slight (one fiftieth of a second exposure while slowly panning) vertical pans to draw out the bright color streaks and create a slightly more abstract presentation of this already otherworldly beauty.
Thanks for visiting.
This monsoon season is a marked contrast to past few, huge amount of rain this year, the plants in the Sonoran desert are so green and growing rapidly.
Being under these bursts of drenching rain wind and sometimes massive lightning- last nights little lightning but the drenching rain bursts brought another 1.1 inches at my location for 10 total for the monsoon season so far. The desert here has turned green!
High key rainy street shot from outside London King's Cross station.
I really boosted the highlight levels in Camera Raw, to produce this high key offering. This had the duel effect of really bringing out the failing rain in front of the woman's black clothing and bleaching out the unwanted distractions of the background. It has produced a bit of noise but is within acceptable levels I think.
