It's so beautiful walking along the closed railway line Ålgårdbanen during summer, or actually all year. But there are so many species of lovely flowers there now.

Another image as I was going through some old slides to scan - this is another one by my late friend Wirt Kriesten [1954-1976].

I believe it was taken with a Nikkormat FTN on Kodachrome 64, lens unknown.

A man walking among train rails. A photo I took on a bridge over the rails, on a day that works being conducted on the lines.

The Commercial-Broadway Skytrain Station shares the Grandview Cut with CN Rail's line, running right through East Vancouver.

Two TE33A locomotives are hauling a train with rails from China to Almaty-1 for the construction of second tracks to Shu.

These tracks run through Jefferson City, Tn.

The pinnacle part of the whole event has stopped, so the class Be 6/8 II electric locomotive 13524 or well known as Crocodile is being shunt on a siding for display by class C 5/6 steam locomotive number 2978. Slowly, but surely, the reptile on the rails is moving closer to the curious quest of the day.

Arrowhead Marsh, MLK Shoreline, Oakland, CA.

The "King Tide" forced these two rails out of the marsh and onto a log that the tide was carrying in. They rode the log until it hit the shoreline. One walked onto the shore and one swam for a bit and then flew away.

Once a part of the Old Colony and Newport Railway, and later leased to New York, New Haven, and Hartford Lines; this section of little-used rail now plays host to a tourist railway in Newport, Rhode Island.
