Not very exciting but I just wanted to take a photo with my new 400mm lens using my old teleconverter and the liveview AF on my 70D. I hadn't wanted to use ISO3200 but it does seem to have done a pretty good job. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the result. Next consideration - do I buy a non-reporting teleconverter so that I can use the optical AF?

Rabbit fest in Vancouver, BC. Put on by VRRA (Vancouver Rabbit Rescue & Advocacy), it is a great meating place for Rabbit owners, with games, grooming, free vet checks, as well as general information for good rabbit health.

After not having much success getting shots of the Black-tailed Jackrabbits at Hayward Regional Shoreline, this cooperative Lagomorph was much appreciated.

A cottontail rabbit that was hanging around my campsite in Nevada.

I'm in ur yard eatin ur gras.

Saw this bunny on an evening walk and spent a few minutes taking pics of him - he didn't keep still for long!

Not a real rabbit or real blood.

Maybe the hunter isn't real either.

The winter held us captive

and now is a distant memory.

Maybe that's not real either.

Maybe guns aren't real.

Blood is.

I stood for ages stalking this rabbit trying to get a good shot, unfortunately I fell over and scared it off, so this shot is a cropped one from much further away.

My little rabbit's playing out at last.

The 2009 winter's been cold, long and harsh, with her water bottle regularly frozen, when I checked her hutch in the shed.

We had quite a few rabbits hanging around the yard throughout the summer. I think this was a young one.

having gone to the gym, showered and dressed, etc, i sojourned to the deck for a moment of backyard relaxation, iced coffee, and the usual profound and meditative reflection on another year's passing, musings on the meaning of life, and the sobering realization that forty really might not be the new thirty. it was only 7:15 in the morning (yes, i woke before 5am on my birthday, despite having the day off) and it was a perfect 72 and sunny. i sat there for only a few minutes before our bunny appeared. he lives under the deck, and he adopted us a few weeks ago. so far, we have fed him lettuce, broccoli, green peppers, cauliflower, carrots, celery, and bananas. (the bananas were a big hit).

his name is either "buddy" or "fred" ,depending on whom you ask. he possesses just the right combination of bravery and stupidity, because he let's us get about two or three feet away before flinching. this morning, the two of us just sat there together, sharing coffee and grass, and sending text messages to a friend. it was a good start to the day.

Rabbit at Chambers Creek Properties

As we were finishing dinner in the sun room today, we noticed this little guy hopping about in the back forty. Against all odds, he was still there after I went to fetch my camera, and actually came quite close to the house. This is not his first visit, and I expect we'll be seeing him again. The dog sure hopes so...
