This young bunny lives in a grove of bushes in our yard. She/he comes out and sits near by torturing the dog inside the house. Available for sale as print or canvas at fineartamerica.com/featured/garden-bunny-janice-byer.html
Since I live two blocks from downtown, this is the first rabbit that I have seen in 42 years in my backyard.
We had quite a few rabbits hanging around the yard throughout the summer. I think this was a young one.
This is Binky, or Binks, or the Binkster, or Binklebun, or whatever you want to call her. She had every nickname under the sun that one could possibly make out of the name "Binky". And yet she still knew her actual name.
And people say lagomorphs are stupid. They should try remembering their name when they have fifteen million nicknames.
Don't let this picture fool you: Binky is the messiest eater I have ever seen. She likes to shovel her food out of her bowl so she can eat all the oats. My other rabbit, Daphne, is much more of a clean freak. She's always cleaning herself, and even the guinea pigs.
By the way, Binky is dead. Many of my pets seem to be all of a sudden.
Daphne's alive, though. And she looks EXACTLY like Binky, right down to the last whisker.
I love our little zoo in Krasnodar! So wonderful for our small city. Apart from the animals in the enclosures there are plenty of birds like hens, turkeys, ducks just walking around the place. Also there are quite many rabbits and tiny little bunnies running around. I especially loved that they slept in the vast area where yaks live - kind of secure neighbouring :))
