This is Shoyu. He's a Christmas bunny.

Drybrush on hand tinted paper. I went through a rabbit craze and made many paintings and drawings of rabbits. I sold this one (long time ago) for what I thought was a good price, but now I think the people got a pretty good bargain.

Encountered this rabbit bouncing in the air and acting very anxious. Saw that it was trying to keep a bull snake away from her young. She ultimately succeeded in driving the snake away. By the time I got my camera, it was all over. p5172776

I have noticed this pair of rabbits in my yard over the past two weeks. They seem to visit often and eat my dandelions. :) They are a little scared of me but do funny things like jump a foot in the air when approaching one another. I am hoping I can get them to get friendlier with me over time.
