Well if I ever see the morning
Just like a lizard in the spring
I'm gonna run out in the meadow
To catch the silence when it sings
I'm gonna force the Serengeti
To disappear into my eyes
Then when I hear your voices callin'
I'm gonna turn just inside out
Well if I ever get to slumber
Just like a mole deep in the ground
Hell, I won't be found
- The Tallest Man On Earth
I cant take credit for this photo but i have just read online that the actor
Heath Ledger has passed away
they arent totally admitting to why but is probably drug related. That sucks
as i really liked him as a actor.
I dont know if he even finished filming the Batman movie.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Jack the ripper lurks in the dark alleys of Whitechapel... Hmmm, I guess it's just a man walking in the empty little alleys of Rethymnon in Crete, or is it not???
To be continued... :-P
wee3beasties one of my contacts/friend, tragically lost a young kitten today.
Baby Boo was found abandoned and abused, with part of his lower lip and chin abraded horribly to the jaw. (among other awful injuries)
wee3beasties, lovingly brought him into her home and tried to treat his injuries.
When she saw they were not healing she took him to her vet to have surgery today.
Sadly he died on the operating table, as his tiny heart stopped and he could not be revived.
Our prayers went out to Baby Boo over the past week or so, but now they must go out to wee3beasties.
She is devastated.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you.

Talk about your still life.
This RIP series was taken at the Longmire Museam in the Mount Rainier National Park, in Washington state.
These were clearly very old models.. stuffed animals.. taxidermied animals. In a newer building animal sculptures took their place and seemed more realistic somehow. I felt sad seeing these animals on display. Although I understand that this was thought the best way to teach about these animals without disturbing them in the wild, it feels disgusting to me, and I can't help but feel that they will never be at rest. I hope that someday, what remains of them will be returned to the earth, where they belong.
I should also mention... these photos were taken in fairly low light, with no tripod, a steady crowd to avoid, and my three year old threatening to cause a scene. I had to click fast and furiously. The quality of the photos may reflect this. I don't like posting photos that are technically lacking in what I want them to be but... I loved this idea so much that I compromised.
I hope to continue this series in the future.
