RIP Emitt Rhodes.

Somewhere, someone special just for me

Somewhere, someone special must be

Somewhere, someone special just for me

Somewhere, someone special must be

Somebody made for me, somebody made for you

Somebody made for me, somebody made for you

Ask and you'll receive

Dear God in Heaven, won't you help me please?

Somewhere, someone special just for you

Somewhere, someone special it's true

Somewhere, someone special just for you

Somewhere, someone special it's true

Somebody made for you, somebody made for me

Somebody made for you, somebody made for me

Ask and you'll receive

Dear God in Heaven, won't you help me please?

I've been searching all my life

Guess I've looked most everywhere

Many girls have caught my eye

But that special one's not there

Somewhere, someone special just for me

Somewhere, someone special must be

Somewhere, someone special just for you

Somewhere, someone special it's true

Somebody made for you, somebody made for me

Somebody made for me, somebody made for you

Ask and you'll receive

Dear God in Heaven, won't you help me please?

This shot was taken from the lane that runs by the side of the grounds of the castle. I was too tight to pay and go in LoL

My beautiful China girl passed away this week. She was 14 and the sweetest dog ever. My family will miss her but will never forget the lessons she taught us. The pain is difficult and we miss her terribly but know she is in a better place.

This is a dark shot from a Jack The Ripper tour looking at the spot where Catherine Eddowes was discovered by PC Edward Watkins at 1:45 am on September 30 1888.

Taken on a Ripper tour, at the time, this was the darkest corner of the square, with very little light illuminating it.

The spot where Eddowes was found is about between the black mark near the left of the frame, going up toward the gate diagonally to the right.

This is admittedly a very dark shot, but like I said, this part of Mitre Square was also quite dark at the time. Over the years since the murders, this part became referred to as Ripper's Corner.

Today, Mitre Square no longer resembles what it looked like in 1888, so I wanted to try to get it fairly dark for atmosphere. This isn't the kind of shot for everyone.

I am sure I took this with my Daguerreotype lens from Lomography.

RIP Greg Gilbert

A deliberate repost. Greg Gilbert was an enormously talented singer, songwriter and artist who died today aged 44 after a long battle with bowel cancer. I was fortunate to see Delays, the band he fronted, at Fleadh, Finsbury Park, 2004.

If you can spare anything, please donate to www.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/donate/ in Greg's memory.

RIP Marco Simoncelli, who died during a horrific crash at Moto GP Sepang, 2011.

This is a shot from IN this past August. I didn't think I had any shots of him but I actually have a few, but none are really too good. What a shame.

The peace of St. Andrew's Parish Church cemetery at Shifnal is briefly disturbed by the beat of Tyseley's 'Castle' No. 7029 'Club Castle' as it works across the viaduct that spans the town with Vintage Trains 1Z84, 0813 Dorridge - Shrewsbury on 9th June 2019. The train ran in conjunction with the Cosford Air Show, and had just deposited the passengers at the station and was now working to Shrewsbury to turn in advance of heading a couple of workings along the Ironbridge branch.
